Hello everyone. Been following this thread past few weeks as I am newbie. icon_rolleyes.gif

Currently holding KGF and ESCF, each at 50%.

Should I buy Affin Hwang Select Asia (Ex Japan) Quantum Fund to my holdings as they gonna close this fund?

or should i buy confused.gif
CIMB-Principal Asia Pacific Dynamic Income Fund - MYR or
CIMB-Principal Global Titans Fund or
Aberdeen Islamic World Equity Fund - Class A or

any other funds? My objective is long term...

Highly appreciate suggestions and comments notworthy.gif

Currently you have 100% Malaysia exposure.
If you want to sai lang in Malaysia, can increase both KGF and EISC.
Alternatively SAQF is heavy in Malaysia too.
The other 3 will diversify in terms of geographical sector.
Note that diversify means reduce your risk of losing, at the same time reduce your odds of winning big.

You pay FSM for their services. Maybe an easier way is to talk to them directly.

Please note the Mnet forummer is, quite a troll.

While I personally did not buy into affin hwang select quantum fund, it is a fund with good performance. For someone who bought kgf and escf, the affin hwang, aka ponzi 1 may not be the best diversification. You are still very exposed to malaysia market. If that is what you want, then fine. If not, then think about it and dont buy into it because it is closing up.

There are other funds. Note that the fund is focusing on small cap companies, hence usually more volatile.

Like another forummer predicted, everyone rushing to top up. Hahah...

QUOTE(Avangelice @ Mar 31 2017, 12:43 AM)
Jesus. the amount of members clamoring to buy into Ponzi 1.0 is down right shocking. hello guys, essentially what Ponzi 1.0 is kgf/eastspring small cap + Ponzi 2.0. one can argue your epf is already part of the Malaysian segment of your investment therefore you LOSE NOTHING by MISSING out on Ponzi 1.0 when it closes.

also do not believe what you read here as some of the members are trolls.

clearly their thoughts move ahead of you.

yes, economies of scale. just like why prices could be cheaper in tesco, they have the numbers. or like the milk in aussie supermarkets. I was living there when the two major supermarkets (coles and woolies) sell 1L milk for $1.....to drive out other competitors and gain monopoly, then you know what happens. I left for good when they are still selling at $1 but many hipster were protesting, so I have no idea what was the development. But then you know what I mean. Look closer to home we have Tenaga.

I think to a much lesser extend some Asia find n some emerging market fund also has some portion of Indonesia in it. I personally prefer those as the risk is not centered in a single country
*
I personally think CIMB-Principal China-India-Indonesia Equity Fund better choice

as china recovering, renminbi stabling

india keep doing good as Modi's policies being implemented, more and more MNC moving to india

indonesia... well next market to watch

the 3 funds that you wanted to buy are focused in Malaysia EQ, in which your current holding has about 65% in Malaysia EQ thru KGF & EISC
May I humbly suggest that you increase your Asia Pac allocation then buy in a Global funds
*
Thanks alot T231H.

i will take your advise seriously.

should i apply for regular saving plan for EISC into my portfolio, since the fund gonna close?

i am a beginner in this industry, so trying to learn something through this forum and at the same time trying to share my ideas as well.

Thanks to all sifus here
