Yah, I am surprise too...

The contributor to my port is TA Tech and Dinasti.

I truly believe and advise please switch log off your FSM port and don't look at it for a month, because when you see it everyday, you get lots of heartache and anxiety because the market is very volatile these days.

Come back in a month or two. You'll feel much better and maybe get a pleasant surprise, like what happen to my port.

I think the volatile times for Malaysia equities is not over yet. It is better to pump money at other regions for now.

Why did Eastspring Global Emerging Market Fund is making great losses while CIMB-Principal Greater China Equity Fund is making profit?

Both have great allocation on China and HK right?
Asset allocation also similiar

Over 41% of the fund is allocated for Emerging Market. With the remaining allocated for China, SK, and Taiwan

So much different to cimb greater china. U should take a look again at the factsheet

The worse already happened... the bigger question on which fund to bet is on its potential upside.

Small-mid cap funds might rebound a few percentages, maybe up to 5 or 6%.
Big cap funds that benchmark on KLCI index... might be flat... CIMB Research cuts end-2018 KLCI target to 1,767.

Seeing and feeling how irrational the market has become since early of this year, I have decided to skip one quarter from gazing into my crystal ball.

Will do it after 2H, most likely somewhere mid - July 2018.

NB: Actually I feel rather good by not looking at my port for this one month. I even did not look at Bloomberg or finance related media. I completely switched off and do some other things. Went closer to god and tried reading theological material for a change. I feel better, more serene and calm and generally a better person as an outcome.

maybe can start smaller amount at malaysia or asia market. some of the REIT funds looks attractive too..

then DCA with the balance amount.

i would probably avoid some funds with huge western exposure for now like CIMB Titan and TAGTF for now, because they are at their highest point now due to recent rally. maybe wait a little for these before going in somewhere in the future

if I am new and just starting to get into UT with just 1 or 2 funds.....
I would go for HK, Spore or Asia Pac.....

a brief, quick and simple decision is based on this PE Valuation
