Does anyone knows what equity funds under eastspring, Cimb and Manulife which is not volatile that could be used to lock in profit?
The idea is to intra-switch from funds with profit, keep it there and rebuy the fund when the price is lower without the sales charges.

Yes, that's why you use the previous earned Credit (when you switch from EQ to FI) to remove/reduce the sale charges.

that's' why ppl say u earn the credit... when u switch from bond back, u will redeem the credit, so no surcharges..

you invested 1000
the NAV goes up 10% you make 100
you moved this 100 to bond fund...to protect the profit,
waiting to reenter when the NAV is lower

what about the 1000 still in that fund?
what are you going to do to protect the capital?
when the NAV is lower,...the value of this 1000 will become less too?

if you can anticipate the NAV will be lower...moved all out......??? devil.gif

Their mobile app is going for the worse. They even removed the color to the indices. It's plain dull black color only.

Maybank SG can't help you if you want to buy foreign denominated unit trust as
1) maybank SG does not have a multicurrency account
- which means RM > SGD > USD/EUR/ etc unit trust (double conversion)
- by having a multicurrency account,  RM > USD/EUR/ keep in multucurrency account > use your USD/EUR/etc to buy USD/EUR/ etc unit trust (single conversion)

I see. Ok will try to do what u suggested. Thanks.

Just read the sub headings to the content will be adequate. It is all about China, HK, South Korea and so on. Sailang to ponzi 2 or similar will do.

about 6 months back...FSM did mention this in one of their article....

"In the race to garner more asset under management (AUM), some fund houses have resorted to tactics of declaring dividends frequently, as this may lead to misinterpretation that the funds are doing well and investors may be inclined to invest more into the “good dividend” funds. Investors who fell prey to this may be left with empty baskets in the long run."

biggrin.gif

also, for those interested about the left pocket to right pocket logic and the "cheaper price now" ....pls read page 555, post 11081
