noobs keep panicking for nothing. you can either do these two things now. shift all your assets to fixed income fund or sell down your allocations that are red.
only two ways about it. leave the work to UT managers and don't keep viewing your ports. oh wait there's the third move... one that most seasoned vets do is to buy in during a storm. pfft. |

QUOTE(jusTinMM @ Nov 17 2017, 01:52 PM) lol same when you liquidate your stocks and get a hot EQ fund lah this time you paid someone else to do it for you. for me I treat my entire investment as a portfolio currently 70% is UT 30% is Stocks haven't calculate my ultimate emergency reserve which is my property which stands at 700k the lowest to 800k the most st cost price of 500k meaning if I lose some money in UT or stocks is just 0.5%? so why panic |

One shouldn’t take property as the emergency fund as it takes time to liquidate.for me I treat my entire investment as a portfolio currently 70% is UT 30% is Stocks haven't calculate my ultimate emergency reserve which is my property which stands at 700k the lowest to 800k the most st cost price of 500k meaning if I lose some money in UT or stocks is just 0.5%? so why panic |

QUOTE(rapple @ Nov 17 2017, 03:59 PM) not when you are from Kuching and your house is located right smack in the middle of a growing area you won't. like I said if I lose my leg in an accident, I shouldn't worry about money at all as I can actually live comfortably (as a disabled person) hence why I advise people to look at investments as a global picture not just by a a handful of unit trust funds. |

Ever wonder n do a rough simulation using data from asia fincncial crisis to see how much your net worth based on equities investing will be down by % ?for me I treat my entire investment as a portfolio currently 70% is UT 30% is Stocks haven't calculate my ultimate emergency reserve which is my property which stands at 700k the lowest to 800k the most st cost price of 500k meaning if I lose some money in UT or stocks is just 0.5%? so why panic Also during that time.....house prices will also drop. Wongmungkeong just mentioned something like diversification not just based on equities.... But i guess with yr qualification and income....you can do not need to touch those money and can still ride thru it This post has been edited by yklooi: Nov 17 2017, 04:21 PM |
