lets be real, there is always parts failure when it comes to electronic... the main point is if its really manufacture problem, what percentage the failure rate

depends on parts electronics have 1 - 2 % failure rate (low volume) and <1% for high volume products

hence 1 or 2 ppl reported problem vs millions sold ; its not an issue

if you are pairing with the latest gpu, you might want to bump up for X870 instead. B850 is only PCIE4.

Asus is strong with 8 series.

I tot b850 is pcie 5.0? Saw their specs there write pcie 5.0 for like asrock b850 pro-a wifi. Looking to reduce reduce budget, 7700x seems like sweet spot compared to overinflated 7800x3d and 9800x3d.

B850 PCIE 5.0 is for NVMe only, not GPU.

you can check the full listing here: https://www.amd.com/en/products/processors/chipsets/am5.html

I think pcie 5.0 lane b850 can use cpu one dedicated for gpu, then chipset pcie5.0 for nvme. That is my understanding la.
