Looking at the Intel i7 13700K TDP almost reaching 300W is quite a lot. Would my Corsair HX750W be enough if I were to game with a GTX4070/4080 in the future or something?

should be 253w, only some really high end motherboard will push no limit 300w, really no idea about the PSU seems really not enough. Even on my 3090 I has to scour the internet to see what PSU other people use. For example asus strix and thor psus will has shutdown issues even when the thor is 1200w, AX1200i has issues too iinm. but HX is very good psu.

It's not gonna hit that in normal everyday use including gaming. unless u bench a lot...........
u can limit the max limit in bios settings.

to help calculate the psu needed, use PCPartPicker.
You can find it in Google

Thanks!

So, an Intel i7-3700K vs 7700 vs 7700... it seems performance wise, the Intel wins but at the expense of higher TDP? 7700X and the Intel chip is around the same price hmm.gif

Also, I read that Intel boards are compatible with DDR4 RAM while AM5 is only DDR5.

13700k = 7700x = 7900

if going for 13700k/kf, why cheapout on DDR4 since intel 13th gen k series is very picky on RAM speed on both DDR4 & 5. Currently there are one game that i know of (or maybe future games coded to take advantage of DDR5) that even the cheapest 4800 ddr5 is way faster than the fastest ddr4 on it.

for ryzen it seems going from 4800 ddr5 to 6000 ddr5 have very small gains, actually good news right

if can wait, maybe look at the 7700x3d

Very nice suggestion bro. I read that the 3D CPUs are catered for gaming yeah? Seems like they have bigger L3 cache but slower base clock speed.

I'm looking at the 7900X3D? Expected price around RM2,500? hmm.gif But if that's the case, surely it will go head to head with the Ryzen 9 7900X hmm.gif

i don't think 7900x3d will be same price as 7900x unless amd dropped the price of 7900x. maybe rm250-400 more expensive than 7900x, but then again amd could priced it higher since it does look like 7900x3d & 7950x3d will probably be the new gaming king.

it does rumored to have only 89C max temp programmed to it, and also have rumor it's not overclocking locked like the 5800x3d

Thanks.

Which scenario do you think will ensure a faster PC?

1) Spend RM3,000 on a processor now and only upgrade 10 years later or;
2) Spend on a RM1,500 processor now and upgrade to another RM1,500 processor in 5 years time?

My thinking is scenario (2) but have to spend extra $$ for a newer motherboard and possibly ram too hmm.gif

I recalled seeing Msia wasn't part of the eligible APAC countries but Indonesia got plenty a lot of distros joining the program.

No, AMD set the max tjmax for the 7000 series x3d chips at 89C. So I guess how much performance you get depends on how good your cooler is because the CPU will keep on ramping up until it hits the temp limit or power limit
*
Yes but there is a limit.

If your cooler is good enough it will draw until the max limited power draw, and your temperature won't be touching that 95c whatever limit.

Basically

IF power draw not maxed
{
WHILE (temps not yet 95c or power draw not yet maxed) DRAW AS MUCH POWER AS YOU CAN.
}

*crap my programming syntax doesn't work too well here but you get the drift.

Of course not!
AMD Msia thinks Msian AMD fanboys are rich so why need to compete with Intel on pricing? You guys should be proud to overspend on hardware compared to poorfag Intel fanboys.

This type of bundle usually is under the retailer own self offer right not AMD.

Microcenter speak to amd/ gskill to ask for credit note / marketing promotion to run the campaign.
