I have a 5600g running on a MSI b550m-a pro mobo.

Im getting driver timeouts when playing games.

Anyone experienced this before?

Did all i can.
changed radeon software versions, installed drivers only, rolled back.
still getting crashes.  but now the crases takes a bit while longer.
like 15 mins.. before this crashes the moment i start to play.

Buying Zen 3 on AM4 platform for new now is for pan7 people.

For current Zen1/+ and Zen 2 users want to upgrade, still good idea to get a drop in CPU upgrade to Zen 3.

If retailers here can really follow the new MSRP for 5800x3D, that is a mega deal for a CPU simply for gaming. Combine that with a decent x570 and some outgoing DDR4 kits, you'll have a system that'll last as long as Sandy Bridge did.

I can't speak for others, but me personally been using x570 Crosshair VIII since 2019, mostly been error free other than:

1) Slow cold boot time back during Zen 3 launch AGESA (forgot the version), has been fixed obviously.
2) Random USB disconnects (brought over from the days of Zen+), I personally haven't encountered the issue for a long time already, so AFAIC it's fixed - for me.

Board has been solid otherwise, holds up zero issues with my 5900x with 1:1:1 config of 2000mhz FCLK + ultra tight RAM timings. Of course FCLK is CPU silicon lottery dependent, but some of the AGESA updates has helped me achieve the "golden" 2000mhz so at least I can't say Asus has been doing nothing and just counting their cash.

One last note: AGESA 1.2.0.3c and beyond (latest is 1.2.0.7) still has the unresolved EDC bug. So if you do OC beyond limits, that's one thing to consider.

So, an Intel i7-3700K vs 7700 vs 7700... it seems performance wise, the Intel wins but at the expense of higher TDP? 7700X and the Intel chip is around the same price

Also, I read that Intel boards are compatible with DDR4 RAM while AM5 is only DDR5.

   

Anything higher IS NOT preferable for Zen 4 due to flaky IMC.

Anyone can help me verify/check if ASUS ROG STRIX B650E-F GAMING WIFI support the new Ryzen 5 7600 (non-x ver.)?

Based on website, seems like not supported, but shopee seller said it is supported. Totally confused now.

so far no BIOS update shown in the website (ASUS MY). Not sure from other region.

That's the problem, in FB they replied to me it support. But from official email, they said it doesn't support.

Why TF7 instead of TFX?

Done installation, just swapped out my i9 13900K & Asus Z790 ROG Maximus Hero, rest of the parts reuse back.

Might consider selling it.
