QUOTE(iZuDeeN @ Sep 30 2021, 02:38 PM) Anyone got a good guide on setting up Ryzen 5000 series on X570 board? - undervolt with PBO2 enabled dont undervolt. If possible MSI board with 5600x unstable. I did it at first with my 5800x, PC sometimes need to start multiple times like car running on fuel too lean just set temperature limit with PBO on. |

QUOTE(EBBattlefield @ Sep 30 2021, 03:20 PM) dont undervolt. Actually just looking for reduce power consumption without impacting performance... Not looking to get 4.9/5.0 GHz...unstable. Right now temp not a problem.. but as you said.. it's not stable when undervilt.. looking for a complete guide if any to see if I'm doing it correctly |

QUOTE(iZuDeeN @ Sep 30 2021, 06:19 PM) Actually just looking for reduce power consumption without impacting performance... Not looking to get 4.9/5.0 GHz... can try actually.Right now temp not a problem.. but as you said.. it's not stable when undervilt.. looking for a complete guide if any to see if I'm doing it correctly apparently lots of people running their 5800X on 1.35V. I was able to run at 1.35V, but starting pc will have hiccup 40% of the time. either my home power supply is iffy or motherboard issue. but if you really dont wanna bother, use ECO mode and limit the CPU down to 65W. That was my first attempt to cool the beast, but it meant it didnt turbo often enough to my liking like i bought EVO X, but drove it like Inspira or, you could just disable PBO. on my system, no PBO meant that the chip never really turbos and reach 80C, practically 95watt CPU based on power draw recorded in HWmonitor. |

Whoever bought Ryzen CPU last year and redeemed game code for Far Cry 6 now you can activate the code. ![]() This post has been edited by llk: Oct 6 2021, 07:25 PM owikh84 liked this post

Oof Win 11 perf with Zen 2/3 is very noticeably bad. Most issues stem from workload not being properly spread to multiple cores, there are instances where even if a single core is already running at above 90% process, the OS will still send more work to that core despite others being idle. MS said they were going to make W11 a true multi-core focused OS, but so far it's doing a poorer job than Win10 and even Win8 lol.
Lucky I'm not migrating to Win 11 full time. |

To be honest user anticipating Win10 -> Win11 is only mainly on UI overhaul and unchanged/slightly improve multicore efficiency, not expecting they fix something that are not broken. Poor Microsoft. I sceptical whether this win11 is same as Vista and 8 which can be skipped totally.

I have a HP 4700 printer. It was fine when using windows 7 and 10 (early on). Then Windows 10 "updated" the drivers for me, somehow deleting the function to print colour had to download the oldest version of the driver I could find online and reinstall to get the feature back. give it some time and Windows 10 will overwrite the proper drivers with the "updated" ones again |

That works as expected and it's a good feature.I think W11 has the potential of being a good OS though. QUOTE(EBBattlefield @ Oct 7 2021, 01:23 PM) dont have to go that far. I'm talking about performance regression, not driver issues. So far everything hardware wise in terms of driver has worked on W11 like it did on W10.older items like printers released in 2015 already bugged by Windows 10. I have a HP 4700 printer. QUOTE(iZuDeeN @ Oct 11 2021, 10:15 AM) this might be the reason my game perf so bad .. Experimented a bit more over the weekend, the OS is not being allocating processes to free cores even on something as simple as Excel crunching and code compiling on Python. This is happening on both my 3900x and 5900x machines, very repeatable issue also.i thought because i enabled reBAR.. likely its because Win11 Found another big bug too - HAGS (hardware accelerated GPU scheduling) will peg the GPU at 100% load if using gamestream with Nvidia devices like the Shield. If using Plex/Kodi to watch movies, same issue could happen to 4k movies with HDR tonemapping enabled. Very stupid bug. Conclusion = Win11 can eat a dick for now. |

Hi, need some advice. I'm planning to upgrade my PC to AMD Ryzen 5600 series. I'm not sure if I should be getting the G version or X version.
The reason is that I'm not planning to get a new graphics card yet due to the prices are too high right now. I have an old AMD R9 270 Graphics card that is still working well. Wondering would an R9 270 Graphics card still be worth pairing with 5600x or should I just get 5600g without the graphics card? Which one gives better graphics performance? |

Which one gives better graphics performance? I am using a R9 290 with 5800X. I would get the 5600G if it is priced similarly to 5600X just because it has intergrated graphics that I could use as a backup years down the line once the GPU dies. If you are confident with the 270X longevity, then just get thee 5600X since it would be 10% faster j3dfx liked this post
