I check back, for Zen 3 also AMD didn't guarantee or safe bet can achieve 4000mhz 1:1. 3600mhz still the best bet.

Well to be fair, officially 3200mhz has always been the promised speed. Anything higher is OCing.https://wccftech.com/amd-ryzen-5000-zen-3-c...-agesa-support/ The problem is their marketing, specifically that Robert Hallock clown. He went and indirectly promised 2000mhz 1:1 IF, eventhough it's almost impossible. He said: QUOTE DDR4-4000. 2000MHz fclk is to the Ryzen 5000 Series what 1900MHz fclk was to the Ryzen 3000 Series. Many samples can do it, but not all. In upcoming AGESAs, we will be implementing additional tuning that will make reaching 2000MHz easier. This is not a guarantee. There is no “safe bet” that your CPU will reach this frequecy. But don’t be surprised to see a bunch of people bringing that magical 2000MHz fclk home with DDR4-4000. If he didn't said that last sentence, they wouldn't have gotten as much flack as they have had. https://videocardz.com/newz/amd-robert-hall...w-functionality |

QUOTE(yimingwuzere @ Jan 29 2021, 02:02 PM) He never specified. Just vaguely said "upcoming AGESAs". Notice the plural form there, lmao that could be anything from launch Zen 3 BIOS until the last Zen 3 BIOS before moving to Zen 4. So he covered his own ass there. |

![]() Final stable speeds on my Crucial Ballistix 3200C16 dual rank kit. VDIMM is 1.36V. No other timing adjustments seem to scale with RAM and SOC/VDDP/VDDG voltage at this point to be worth it (tried everything at 1.4V VDIMM, 1.1V VSOC, 1.05V VDDG, 0.9 VDDP). tRAS was stable as low as 23, although 1usmus guides on the Internet tell me I should use tCL+tRCDRD, AIDA benchmarks for both tRAS 23/30/35 seem to be within margin of error. tRCDWR seems unusually low but even at 8 it passed TM5 anta777 config + 300% HCI. Since 5000 series CPUs are supposed to hit 3800 RAM 1:1 with FCLK, gonna take one last crack at it. If anyone has any ideas how to improve timings even further or run without geardown mode without dropping 1T, I'm all ears. This post has been edited by yimingwuzere: Jan 29 2021, 07:17 PM |

I feel that tRCDWR is too low at 8, I think it shouldn't go below 14 to be frank. You can also lax that tCWL to 16. May also want to increase CCD and IOD voltage to 1.0. I think VSOC is ok at 1.025, but IME 1.05 is needed to achieve max stability without causing that once in a blue moon WHEA error. yimingwuzere liked this post

so an update from my supposed testing
can't get a footage yet due to time constraint, nfs heat test done by my son only tried NFS Heat night race for 3hours+ for 3 days. no blue screen nor crash found on Ryzen 3600 system might be testing ghostrunner and cod warzone when I have the time will try find time to setup camera footage as well |

I wanted to built a 5900x system, but couldn't find any in stock at reasonable price for the past 2 months
so I got a 5800x instead few weeks back, currently all the parts are at my friend's place in process of building waterloop today I got wind of 5900x back in stock and selling without bundle my question is should I get the 5900x and sell off the 5800x? originally gave up on 5900x and planned to use 5800x until when AMD releases 5900XT later then swap (if they make it) |

Is there any correlation between core CPPC values and Clock Optimizer max stable negative offsets, other than the highest valued cores being favoured for 1T operations?
Also, what is the most reliable way of testing core instability? Cinebench seems to knock them out faster than Prime95 can, but only seems to be reliable at testing global values in Clock Optimizer as Cinebench keeps resetting manual core affinity in Windows even when running 1T. VSOC =1.05V VDDG = 0.95V VDDP=0.9V I did see a crash during 1/3 TM5 runs at 1.04V, whereas 1.05V seems to be solid. Depends, I've seen a small store offering a few with Strix B550-E earlier this month. Only 5800X though. Guess 5600X/5900X sells out way faster due to better price per core ratio.
