u need to have a rollback file first n place at ur dload folder, after boot put B211 in dload folder and flash. u will need to wipe everything after downgrade...if not your phone wont boot..

I agree...Quite satisfied with B321. I'm quite hesitate to downgrade because it will wipe everything and need to reinstall all apps after that. I have a lot of apps installed and not to mention the loss of apps data. A bit troublesome for me.
But EMUI 5.0 Nougat brings a lot of improvement and enhancement to the software experience like in the mate 9. It will be wasted if we unable to upgrade from EMUI 4.1.
I have contacted Huawei again to confirm if they will push the update to me or not. Still waiting for their reply

Upgrade to b521 2 weeks ago, battery life is much worst than previous, even charging also got problem, not sure is hardware or software problem

Previously fast charge half an hour can reach 50%, but now only 30% after half an hour

Battery drain faster, previous can last me until night before sleep, now just half day already drain from 100 to 20%

Looks very abnormal, any solution except back to emui 4.1?

agree, I'm having battery drain issue as well. you are not alone....

For those having problem with battery draining, have you checked whether FB and Messenger are the culprit?

Look like it is not a good idea upgrade to nougat for this phone.
The only feature i like emui 5 is apps drawer.

Play store is always crashing. Already cleared cache,data and tried to install the new version.

Don't think so, I've uninstall and reinstall fb and messenger after heard the news, still same, one think i found is the "android system" consumption level is the highest in my battery drain list, is much more higher than others apps or system, it's abnormal, but don't know what make it consumption so high and how to solve it...

Just delete your Google account and re enter it to solve such issues

Had you consider high wakelocks causing unnecessary high battery drain? Check through each app that required internet access and reset the default refresh data settings to your convenience. You would be surprised some app actively refresh it's data even every 15 mins!!
The Mate 8 n Mate9 I deemed had good battery life - for me minimum 9 hours SOT , 10-11 is common. My usage mainly on internet stuffs with no gaming
I don't use FB and use Swipe for Facebook as alternative.

Not sure, just noticed I'm starting to face issue whenever Whatsapp is close, I can't receive notification. This issue happen intermittently.

even whatsapp PC app got disconnected.

"Close after screen locked" = Off
"System wakeup" = On

How to reset each apps data refresh rate? Is this option only for root device? Any recommended apps to perform this?

There's a way to get Nougat OTA without custom recovery or root and without losing your data by using Firmware Finder at google play. It will force Nougat OTA to your phone.

You can even get Nougat OTA from B321.

You don't need to downgrade to B211

Since My phone is already in Nougat Beta program. I will always received Nougat OTA. So I purposely debrand my phone to C432 region and try it. To answer your question. Yes I've tried it and it worked.

Not sure if you will receive from official huawei but the Firmware Finder app will push it to your phone. In other words, The app will trick your system updater that you have Nougat OTA. That's all.

You need to enable installation via system updater under the setting menu. After that select firmware B521 then send firmware to updater. A guide will popup to tell you what to do.

PS : Always backup first before you install. Just incase anything happen.

according to the forumers here, downgrade can be done using dload method. The only downside is u will be losing data. I personally didn't try it because i can't afford to reinstall everything all over again.

Just click update. It will check for new update.

Any downgrade firmware will be lost. Make sure you backup first before perform downgrade.

The B521 update came out in my updater after I follow the instructions. Downloading now. Keeping my fingers crossed

Any upgrade firmware via OTA won't lost any data but always backup first before installing it.

Yes, I'm using B321
1.open the firmware finder apps
2.go to settings
3.enable installation via system updates( u need to install the proxy)
4.in the settings, enable view OTA updates
5. Go back to main page and find firmware. U should able to see the B521 version
5.choose the firmware and and tap on send firmware to updater
6.there will be instructions to change the proxy
7.once u changed ur wifi proxy, go to updater and u will see the latest firmware

get it.u ord finish downloading ? after this upgrade we still can get official ota from huawei in future ?

Firmware finder can be downloaded from Google play

I can't install the update after finish downloading...The msg displayed was failed to verify update package and need to reboot normally. Not sure what's the problem
