There's a way to get Nougat OTA without custom recovery or root and without losing your data by using Firmware Finder at google play. It will force Nougat OTA to your phone.

QUOTE(plain_white @ Feb 4 2017, 10:15 AM) Not sure if you will receive from official huawei but the Firmware Finder app will push it to your phone. In other words, The app will trick your system updater that you have Nougat OTA. That's all. |

QUOTE(samsungXP @ Feb 4 2017, 12:21 PM) You need to enable installation via system updater under the setting menu. After that select firmware B521 then send firmware to updater. A guide will popup to tell you what to do.PS : Always backup first before you install. Just incase anything happen. This post has been edited by dexz: Feb 4 2017, 01:21 PM |

Tested both firmware B321 and B211. Managed to install B521 from B211 but not B321. I think B321 doesn't support B521 ota update.

QUOTE(Crystal2 @ Feb 6 2017, 07:31 PM) I tried to flash from B321 to B211 - also failed. I have had enough - now deleted the dload & HWFF folders & uninstalled the Firmware Finder App. Will await the official update from HW. Should try downgrade it to B193 then update it to B211 but then again you should wait for official update if you don't want to try. This post has been edited by dexz: Feb 6 2017, 07:44 PM |

QUOTE(samsungXP @ Feb 7 2017, 09:35 PM) Yes. After you have dload B211 you need to factory reset or else you won't able to boot into the systemQUOTE(samsungXP @ Feb 7 2017, 09:42 PM) Sorry I don't have the answer for that. B321 I think it's just a testing firmware. Maybe I'm wrong but Huawei has shutdown the original link for B321and can't be download any more. You might need to confirm with Huawei customer support if B321 will get Nougat OTA in the future. |

QUOTE(funnyman @ Feb 7 2017, 10:01 PM) It sounds like the B321 may not be able to update OTA. I am unsure .. You don't need to extract it. Just copy the update.app to dload folder at your sdcard. After that shutdown your phone. Press and hold vol up + down + power . This update.app will change your build number to NXT-C900B300 or something. Then only you can downgrade to B211 with the same method dload.I had tried to download from the link provided by bro dexz, successfully download but failed in extracting the file. Tried many times and failed all of them. Damn frustrated now. Hahah Wondering whether could I send to Huawei to have the firmware version downgraded. By the way, where is their service centre? |
