With the new changes coming soon for RHB Shell, what are the good credit cards for e-wallet reload? I already have the following:

HL Wise
Affin Duo+
PBB Islamic Platinum
*
Why PB Islamic Platinum, as opposed to PB Visa Signature? It's RM15 vs RM30 cashback

PB Visa Signature does not give cashback for e-wallet reload anymore

What card best to use. Pay insurance lump sum 50k… cashback all capped

Most points all very low for insurance e.g. 1 point for RM1 @ Maybank.

But it seems there’s nothing better than Maybank VI.

Hi guys need some help since my main RHB Shell is nerfed:

1. Annual Income: RM120k

2. Free Lifetime Annual Fee: waived or waiveable

3. Card required for:
Mostly for groceries >RM 1500 monthly
Online shopping >RM 1000
E-wallet >RM 300
Fuel >RM 300, but may be lower on certain periods

4. Existing credit cards (if any):
1. RHB VS
2. RHB Shell

5. Interested in CC from: Any but now eyeing CIMBs.

6. Others:
NA

Main goal: Just need another CC to main for Cashback for groceries, online shopping, SPayLater, and fuel. Prefer not to be tied to weekends only because of my work schedule

i think he was referring to the unlimited cash back card
if u could somehow get business/corporate credit card, should be able to get cash back without cap

which CIMB card? I could think of Alliance Visa Signature but not quite attractive
what a shame that weekend card would be a dealbreaker, otherwise could have gone for a combination of Maybank2Platinum + Maybank Ikhwan Mastercard + Bank Islam Visa Platinum

Anyone who is currently using Bank Islam Visa Platinum-i can confirm - does online include ewallet reload and/or SPayLater bill payment? Their TnC doesn't exclude ewallet and does not have a list of 'online MCC' which they accept. I understand from previous discussion that period is monthly (calendar) rather than statement.

For Bank Islam Visa Platinum, I can confirm SPayLater entitled for cb.
Never try ewallet reload with this card.

Affin DUO 3% cb, cap at RM30
Alliance VS RM55.5 cb @ 1.85% reload RM3k to e-wallet
*
I've both Affin Duo and Duo+ already. If 1.85% for Alliance VS, isn't Aeon Platinum 2% for e-wallet better?

Based on effective cb rate, Aeon Platinum @ 2% is higher than Alliance VS @ 1.85%.
Alliance VS has the advantage of being very flexible with hardly any restriction. Eg. It gives cb for JomPay, Atome, etc.

It looks like all cards are getting nerfed.

My go-to was:

1. RHB Shell Visa - RM100
2. HLB Wise - RM55
3. Maybank Ikhwan Amex - RM50

Can easily get RM200 cashback per month.

My spending is "real", no e-wallet filler. But I do use Spaylater to maximize cashback for most groceries/dining spend.

Spend around RM4k per month across groceries, insurance, condo maintenance, petrol, Shopee/Lazada, dining and misc retail spending.

What's the best card to replace the RHB Shell Visa?

I've been seriously considering UOB One Platinum, however their groceries cashback is limited to selected merchants that I do not shop at. Also I don't use Grab/Grabpay at the moment.

mbb ikhwan mc for petrol/grocery (no min spend, Fri/Sat)
mbb ikhwan visa petronas for petronas only (no min spend, weekends)

affin duo (visa) for insurance, shopee/lazada, condo maintenance (online if using app) -- min spend 3050

affin duo+ (visa) for dining, misc spending (no min spend)

or bank islam Visa Platinum for Overseas (CardPresent), Online, Auto Bill, Grocery & Dining -- which covers nearly all your spending; but capped cb is low

my monthly card spending about 6-8k. have to apply for many cards for max cash back. I think i will stick to rhb shell, aeon gold and public VS. getting lazy to apply new and having multiple cards.

There is another card you can consider is Hong Leong Wise. You can get 5% cashback after accounting for minimum spending of RM 1000. Perfect scenario will be around 5.5% cashback.
