Usually, Astro installer should change the satellite dish when they upgrade customer's set-top-box to B.yond. If they don't, then it is more likely that they are lazy to do so.As for the RG6 cable (satellite cable), the installer usually won't change it unless if the condition of the cable is not so good or you request/tell them to do so. RG6 cable can last quite long and won't easily get damaged unless it is damaged by user.
Older Astro satellite dish (silver) are 55cm (capital letter "ASTRO" logo) and 60cm (lower case "astro" logo). Black B.yond dish is 65cm. Bigger satellite dish size, for sure the better reception it is.
