Asstro.....Going Beyond desperate! Me to got their SMS! With good internet and android boxes , asstro is NO more relevant ! If they had brains,its time they open all channels at RM50 cos thats what their Recycle Bin is worth!

One android box less then RM300 then screamyx 8mb at rm 140,almost 1000 channels/Movie library,who wants assthrow?

Even many sporeans hv jumped to android boxes,Mio and starhub are struggling they too became so desperate that they allowed asstro into their offerings! You will notice that with $60 starhub offers 3 basic + sprts while just a basic $30!Here just the Value packs without sports is RM85! Asstro's in house Rojak channels hv been added to spore's vernacular packs to attract customers .

To me I think its highly impossible for good new HD additions! Asstro as it is now is too expensive and/or is overpriced. When January comes HSBB prices most likely will be slashed ,tougher times await them. Times are bad it will be either one situation for many! asstro or HSBB ,many will opt for HSBB

Make sure yr sony HTS supports 5.1,alternatively u may use coaxial or optical output from yr astro box to HTS if there are such inputs

Extremely doubtful that asstro will add new exclusive content !Asstro has already become too expensive! Most likely nothing more then Shopping channels!If they cannot drop their pricing to below RM100 they wl lose to good HSBB penetration and the coming soon new Home BB pricing

They are cutting costs,home made Rojak is cheaper,we will end with more of such content and wont be surprised if more stand alone channels removed! Infact our ITV is another Rojak of various versions of ITV! Quite surprised to note some customer patterns here, In House channels are hardly removed cos the support remains! Customers are still going for Astro First ,Astro Best and very soon SVOD!

How far can local News or Press go in malaysia? How Tajam,How Meluas or Terperinci can they get in a country where the govt. controls the main media!

I am on 8MB screamyx at RM148 offer inlusive GST,so far so good

TM and other HSBB players policy, they target rich men area first while the poor/middle classs get 1 -4 MB streamyx,this is the trend here. When they launch unifi they target the Taman with rich people ! My place unifi launched only town area and selected housing areas so had to take 8MB which is for my Taman!

Great! The facts exposed! Good info to all who may think that IPTV is stable and reliable. Iptv is just another source for us to get something extra!I am also using IPTV and I fully agree with you,with 8mbps I still have buffering,lost signals,server down ,only about 100 channels of 1000 claimed works,audio video issues but I use it for channels which astro does not hv or expensive. From superpack I downgraded Value Pack,just to keep my wife busy! Pls PM your best recommendations,thank you

My guess asstro wl not add any new channels of class ,maybe Rojak channels only! Their reason that its low viewership is bullshit they said the same when they removed BBCE and a few more! They dont want to pay high,they want cheap stuffs but more profits In my 20 yrs experience there was nothing exciting added on asstro,we are still far behind,except for compiled home made and made for malaysia content.There is NO variety in astro but its the most expensive. Jumped to iptv just to watch some channels i like before I die!

Yup!! BTW for some channels 8mbps still buffers ! Still its worth,
