StarHub TV Welcomes Asia’s First Korean Blockbuster Channel
Singapore, 15 December 2016 – StarHub TV customers will soon be the first in Asia to enjoy the latest Korean blockbusters and all-time favourite Korean movies in high definition, and round-the-clock. tvN Movies HD, Asia’s first dedicated Korean movie channel, is set to launch on StarHub TV (Channel 818) on 11 January 2017. To enable greater convenience, the channel will also be available on demand as tvN Movies VOD HD. With 2017 coming, it's high time for them to revise their packages to offer more flexibility. For instance, Super Pack 1 customers do not even watch Tayangan Hebat or Thangatirai channels bundled in the package. Comparing Astro's packaging with Starhub and MioTV, they have more bundle packages to target different market segments compared to Astro's Valuepack, Superpack and Superpack Plus.

Too bad no streamyx in my ulu area. I had to use umobile P98 (30gb + unlimited videoonz) for my broadband.

I think 8tv can be the 1st media prima channel to broadcast in HD because most of their programs are imported from Korea, China, HK, US etc and are already in HD format.

The point is Astro is so used to arbitrarily drop channels without any replacement and maintain the package price. Like Starhub even if they remove certain channels, they will bring in new channels to calm down customers.

And as usual the chapter on Unfair Contract Terms in the Consumer Protection Act only looks good on paper.

They slash the price of NJOI installation fee. Perhaps they realize the way to grow the users base is through NJOI and prepaid subsciption, not pay TV.
