BE U's rate might sound attractive but I am beginning to think it's not worth it to place any funds in there with all the effort, trouble and time wasted just to try to get them to do anything via CS.

As previously mentioned, tried to change bank account number linked to my Term Deposit:

1. No option in app itself which is a MAJOR FLAW
2. Calling CS via phone takes FOREVER. I have been in the same queue number for over 40-45 mins and it's always the same "We are experiencing a high number of calls and all our customer service officers are BUSY, please wait A MOMENT, you will be served SHORTLY. You are currently caller number 4". Wow, I didn't expect such THOROUGH service that each caller takes at least 20 mins?
3. Submitted a ticket, later received a call (FINALLY) to verify identity and all necessary procedures on 9th; was told will take 2-3 working days but till today, NOTHING. My term deposit in app still shows my Rize account linked to the matured Term Deposit without any in-process indication that any effort is being made for manual withdrawal request submitted.

In short, my money's trapped in there UNTIL they decide to get off their asses and change something on their end which in this case, runs on THEIR TIME. AND not to forget next Monday and Tuesday are public holidays. Such a GREAT service.  vmad.gif  mad.gif  vmad.gif

Perhaps if you have a BeU Qard Savings Account-i, they may be able to resolve things faster. At least with the BeU Qard account you can Duitnow your money out to another bank.

When I first started to use BeU, the app prompted me to set up another bank account to receive money from matured FDs, or I should open an Qard account. Perhaps it was a blessing in disguise that my attempt to set this up was unsuccessful and I ended up opening the Qard Savings account.

Yes, Qard SA is also easy to maintain, can leave it RM 0 which I am doing it for my account. The reason why I applied for Qard is because I was annoyed by how I was asked to verify everything every time I applied for an eFD. If I had one Qard SA then I can skip all these, I straight applied one.

However, my existing eFDs haven't matured yet, so I can't really speak based on my experience what happens after they are matured.

I had 2 FDs matured and the fund was transferred automatically into my Qard Savings account. But in my wife's case when her FD matured, we waited for another day, still no fund was transferred to her Qard Savings acocunt. However she file a complaint via the app and within a couple of hours the issue was resolved.

Thanks for sharing your experience. So, it means having a Qard account may also prompt to an issue upon FD maturity. tongue.gif
At least, it is easy to do via the app.

The thing is that it might be easy for us to open accounts since we have financial credibility with careers and stuff but for my mother, she's elderly and as a housewife, do not hold a lot of bank accounts since its a hassle to try to open (needs all kinds of documents for verification). She tried out the app for the FD since the interest was high that time but this is going down.

I have one more BEU TD maturing today (no. 88300030021694) and again, no auto-withdrawal. 2nd time this month. Just submitted a nasty message in-app (ticket 9CVMWF). Now I'll have to stay awake until 11pm just to see I can get my money.

Not worth the grief.

Yeah join premier, min 50k and max 300k placement 6 months, no compound interest
*
After 6 months with the 4.28% interest, can close the account.

This is what I did with SCB Priority Banking early this year when they offered 4.08% for 6 months for new priority customers (min deposit RM350k)

Yes correct, actually was asking for SCB earlier but RM say I only can join back in Oct then I go for HSBC.

Edited: 4.28 is good enough but max only can put 300k, above that doesn't earn 4.28 rate

@ikanez Is Be U trying really hard to be a scam? In a way, the bank is forcing customers to open a Qard savings account if they do not want any hassle with transferring out money from matured Term Deposits.

Been stuck waiting for their response over the past few days and nothing. Repeated calls always put me in queue with it NEVER moving even over a span of up to 1 hour. Kindly please explain how BUSY is your CS?
*
Ikanez is not an official rep here, I would suggest you to seek other channel to direct your complaints like their FB or email.

I am glad I have not joined BeU bandwagon. Everytime I want to register, I recall what my BIMB manager told me : Who do you contact when there is a problem?
