QUOTE(PeeEl @ Apr 3 2024, 10:22 AM) I just came back from Affin Bank, their FD rate is 3.75% (12mths) but it is good till April 07, but essentially Fri, Apr 05. Thereafter the 12 mths rate will be 3.33%, but 6 mths will be 3.55%. You got to do this OTC. |

QUOTE(ericlaiys @ Aug 24 2024, 03:17 PM) BeU of Bank Islam digital bank = 4%The app is reasonably well designed. What makes BeU different is that its Customer Service people are efficient. I hit a problem while opening up a term deposit (4% interest), submitted my complaint and received a reply soon after telling me that they are fixing the problem. Then a hour later, the same CS guy called to tell me that things had been fixed and to see if I needed help. My wife (iOS) installed BeU a few days later and sailed through all the procedures.... it means their tech guys at BeU solved all the issues I faced a few days earlier. At 4% FD, I think BeU is not bad at all. And the accounts are PIDM covered too. This post has been edited by plantcloner: Aug 25 2024, 11:03 AM |

QUOTE(ikanez @ Sep 3 2024, 09:30 AM) hi everyone. Your BeU app is not as buggy as Rize or Aeon, but can be better. What sets BeU apart from the rest is the customer service people are fast in responding and did solve my issues. Nobody expects any new;y launched system to be perfect but having good CS people is the key to winning the game. I have just moved RM20k to BeU yesterday!just wanted to share. starting september, the 12-month 4% rate will no longer be available via branches. however it will still be available via the Be U app, until 31/12 (or once we hit allocated cap, kinda like GX) can refer for details for the campaign: https://getbeu.com/campaigns/BeU-TermDeposit-i-Extra ![]() feel free to DM for more info on TD, or any other general feedback (ie. things to improve, wishlist) about the app. thanks! p/s: i work at Be U. QUOTE(ericlaiys @ Nov 4 2024, 10:52 AM) It happened to me a couple of times... I filled in the contact form and within a few minutes I received a reply via the machine then a human contacted me via email to explain that they were looking into the issue. It got resolved within a couple of hours. I was told in the email (human answering) that if it takes more than 10 mins to complete your FD placement, then there is a problem and we should inform BeU ASAP. ikanez and CommodoreAmiga liked this post

QUOTE(ericlaiys @ Apr 14 2025, 10:18 AM) Open BEU - u will have an account Qard saving account It will be faster if you set Qard account as your "standard" account to receive and deposit funds for placements into BeU's FDTransfer money into there Then you can do FD (they called it term deposit) when maturity, it will withdraw to qard saving account. Quite easy. One thing i notice qard no interest given. so i only maintain RM2 btfan liked this post

QUOTE(soulreap @ Sep 12 2025, 12:17 PM) BE U's rate might sound attractive but I am beginning to think it's not worth it to place any funds in there with all the effort, trouble and time wasted just to try to get them to do anything via CS. Perhaps if you have a BeU Qard Savings Account-i, they may be able to resolve things faster. At least with the BeU Qard account you can Duitnow your money out to another bank.As previously mentioned, tried to change bank account number linked to my Term Deposit: 1. No option in app itself which is a MAJOR FLAW 2. Calling CS via phone takes FOREVER. I have been in the same queue number for over 40-45 mins and it's always the same "We are experiencing a high number of calls and all our customer service officers are BUSY, please wait A MOMENT, you will be served SHORTLY. You are currently caller number 4". Wow, I didn't expect such THOROUGH service that each caller takes at least 20 mins? 3. Submitted a ticket, later received a call (FINALLY) to verify identity and all necessary procedures on 9th; was told will take 2-3 working days but till today, NOTHING. My term deposit in app still shows my Rize account linked to the matured Term Deposit without any in-process indication that any effort is being made for manual withdrawal request submitted. In short, my money's trapped in there UNTIL they decide to get off their asses and change something on their end which in this case, runs on THEIR TIME. AND not to forget next Monday and Tuesday are public holidays. Such a GREAT service. When I first started to use BeU, the app prompted me to set up another bank account to receive money from matured FDs, or I should open an Qard account. Perhaps it was a blessing in disguise that my attempt to set this up was unsuccessful and I ended up opening the Qard Savings account. |

QUOTE(fruitie @ Sep 12 2025, 12:32 PM) Yes, Qard SA is also easy to maintain, can leave it RM 0 which I am doing it for my account. The reason why I applied for Qard is because I was annoyed by how I was asked to verify everything every time I applied for an eFD. If I had one Qard SA then I can skip all these, I straight applied one. I had 2 FDs matured and the fund was transferred automatically into my Qard Savings account. But in my wife's case when her FD matured, we waited for another day, still no fund was transferred to her Qard Savings acocunt. However she file a complaint via the app and within a couple of hours the issue was resolved. However, my existing eFDs haven't matured yet, so I can't really speak based on my experience what happens after they are matured. |
