@ikanez is there any way I can change the bank account to transfer out my BE U term deposit on the app? My mom's matured but because she registered it under Rize previously, now she cannot transfer it out. Calling BE U CS takes forever, she was in queue for like 5-10 mins and its always "high volume of calls" and the same position in queue

hmm.. the system doesn't mandate for customers to have Be U QSA account for withdrawal. if you have setup a legit bank account elsewhere (in this case, Rize, and it's also proven to be the customer's own account and not 3rd party) - the system should be able to send the money out to that destination once matured.

that being said, i've also just learned that if it's not Be U QSA account, the withdrawal will need to be done manually - via the click of a "CASH OUT" button (refer to pic). For customers who have setup Be U QSA as their withdrawal account, the transfer would've been done automatically upon TD maturity.

to reiterate, if your withdrawal account is not within Be U, need to click "CASH OUT" once TD is matured. The "CASH OUT" button will only appear once TD has matured. Else it'll be a diff button.

The problem now is that because Rize was taken back by Al-Rajhi, her account number also changed and the old one cannot be used anymore. And there is no option for us to change the destination bank account in the app itself which is frankly disappointing. What if "accidents" happen and we switch banks? So now the money is stuck in there UNTIL we can get through to CS and CS is taking FOREVER. She was waiting on the phone for 40 minutes and the queue NEVER MOVED. vmad.gif mad.gif vmad.gif

BE U's rate might sound attractive but I am beginning to think it's not worth it to place any funds in there with all the effort, trouble and time wasted just to try to get them to do anything via CS.

As previously mentioned, tried to change bank account number linked to my Term Deposit:

1. No option in app itself which is a MAJOR FLAW
2. Calling CS via phone takes FOREVER. I have been in the same queue number for over 40-45 mins and it's always the same "We are experiencing a high number of calls and all our customer service officers are BUSY, please wait A MOMENT, you will be served SHORTLY. You are currently caller number 4". Wow, I didn't expect such THOROUGH service that each caller takes at least 20 mins?
3. Submitted a ticket, later received a call (FINALLY) to verify identity and all necessary procedures on 9th; was told will take 2-3 working days but till today, NOTHING. My term deposit in app still shows my Rize account linked to the matured Term Deposit without any in-process indication that any effort is being made for manual withdrawal request submitted.

In short, my money's trapped in there UNTIL they decide to get off their asses and change something on their end which in this case, runs on THEIR TIME. AND not to forget next Monday and Tuesday are public holidays. Such a GREAT service. vmad.gif mad.gif vmad.gif

The thing is that it might be easy for us to open accounts since we have financial credibility with careers and stuff but for my mother, she's elderly and as a housewife, do not hold a lot of bank accounts since its a hassle to try to open (needs all kinds of documents for verification). She tried out the app for the FD since the interest was high that time but this is going down.

Out of curiousity, does anyone know how Al-Rajhi's Term Deposit profits are calculated? Might just be me but my calculations dont correspond with the projected profits shown on the receipt upon placing. PM tepi if possible?
