Coincidentally, my HLB eFD 4.13% for six months matures today; it's time for me to take it out and put it somewhere else.

Is it better to put under Versa 4.3% or MBB Islamic eFD 4%? I'm aware that PIDM does not protect Versa's money. It is a small amount only for me to park somewhere to earn some pocket money.

Just came across Be U and registered an account. Seamless process and immediately managed to transfer fund for the FD. Nice app I must say. Thanks for sharing guys. Perfect for me to save some fund for short term. ikanez liked this post

Just added another BeU eFD, so every time I place a FD, I will need to go through the verification all over again?

QUOTE(adele123 @ Jun 8 2025, 04:21 PM) Depends on what you mean by verification. I placed many times, just that there are quite many clicks before you complete the FD placement. I need to take photos of IC and fill in occupation etc. Is this normal?First is telling them how much you want to place. (I suppose this is what you mean by verification cause need to wait 1 to 2 seconds before resume the FD application) Then the actual transfer from savings acct to the FD. |

QUOTE(adele123 @ Jun 9 2025, 07:03 PM) Raised a query, and kudos to the team for calling me back on this issue. It's because I don't have an SA in Be U, so I have to go through this process every time. Additionally, once you attempt to place an FD, you cannot abandon it halfway, as it will become stuck and unable to view other placed FDs. This needs their team to cancel it on the backend. They said they will provide feedback to the team for future enhancement. ikanez liked this post

QUOTE(ikanez @ Jun 11 2025, 11:24 AM) sorry for the late response. yeah - your experience is currently is legit bug at our end and is inside our backlog. appreciate you sharing the info (the ones you got from our customer support) with the group No worries. Glad that my feedback helps. Unfortunately, the team hasn't deleted the placement that I abandoned and I still cannot see my earlier placed FDs. |

I was wondering why not use the Be U app, as it also offers 4.0%? It's straightforward to do. I have recommended my friends and sister apply for one account via the app, and they have started placing their FD. My suggestion is to open one Be U Qard Savings Account-i as it is only RM 20 to open one and it allows RM 0 to maintain the account. After opening the account, you can transfer out the RM 20 and leave it as RM 0. Next time just transfer fund from other account to Qard SA-i and place FD from there. plantcloner, rahtid, and 1 other liked this post

QUOTE(chadavox @ Jul 2 2025, 04:33 PM) I don't like it - I have to scan my IC front and back everytime I wanna deposit FD and after that, the process is not finished yet. I still have to wait a few hours for them to verify before I can actually transfer the money. It is time consuming. I do not enjoy the process, at all. I also had this issue, so the trick is to open that SA and transfer fund to that SA and from there apply for FD. I was never asked anymore for those verifications. I raised a ticket and their CS told me this is the solution.A few hours? My sister did her first time eKYC on last Saturday, it was approved almost instantly, just a few minutes for everything. She got her FD ready right after that. I'm not sure how it was in the past as I only got my account in May, and it was OK for me except for the verifications which the SA can solve. So far, those I introduced to have no issue and like this app. This post has been edited by fruitie: Jul 2 2025, 04:39 PM plantcloner and ikanez liked this post

QUOTE(genesic @ Jul 3 2025, 09:39 AM) I thought this the only way for the FD placement. Easy and straightforward. If one doesn't have Be U SA, then it is not straightforward. Every time will need to go through the troublesome verification (scan IC, fill in occupation etc). But the only comment on the apps is the term deposit icon and placement is hidden. I might miss out I hv FD on this bank/apps. |
