trying to open bank islam acc online, the minimum deposit via FPX shown as failed but money deducted, call to call centre, said acc open, but, money not credited, what's a bad experience.

Similar experience when trying to place iFD with MBB. Funds deducted but money missing. This is the fault of the FPX system which is operated by a company called Paynet owned by BNM and commercial banks in Malaysia. Do you notice that when you make an FPX payment to shopee or lazada, the transaction confirmation will always say failed fpx but later shopee /lazada will confirm it is ok as they will inform seller to ship or sned you an email confirmation? Evidently this FPX system is unable to cope with high internet traffic. We should all boycott FPX payments until these buggers wake up!

today i went to do. they need 2~3 days to clear the banker's cheque.. so today can open savings account only..

once the cheque cleared then have to return back to BI to do fd placement..

Same with mine, opened SA online yesterday, everything ok until transfer $ and failed but money out from UOB.. Went to check with UOB, UOB said just cleared today but still haven't appear in BI yet, gotta go UOB again tomorrow. Not too worried as have such experience before, money in the air 😠

nope didnt. thought of doing everything on the spot since my previous bank withdraw fd same place

In Subang _ Tiapan branch i have issued personal check and i can get the FD cert at the same time, no need to wait for check to clear

cause it was for 500k. they told me they need to do verification with the bank that issued the cheque first.
once cleared and money entered savings account then only come back to do fd placement.

You transfer from UOB to BI saving account via instant transfer/duit now? My experience is, I went to BI to open saving account, then on the spot the officer asked me to transfer RM100 to deposit into the SA. I use the instant transfer and it was okay.

What goes up must come down. Pretty clear where all the direction is heading now. Quickly make FDs with BI while promo still on.

I open account online and suppose to fund it, which I did but next day went BI, money elek, had to deposit another 100 for account opening. The 1k still hanging somewhere, UOB said paid to BI, BI said tadak - how? It can be found but leceh gotta keep checking

Aiyo. Once my FD at UOB matured next week, I also plan to tranfer the fund to my BI saving account, then go BI to place the FD.
Hopefully no issue la by then.

If you already have an account, i think no issues. I think poster up here just opened account, but account not yet opened complete, then go transfer money, hence money lost in Digital space. I always ensured my accounts opened properly first before any transfer and do a small transfer to test before the big amount. Never have any issues with any banks...and i have accounts with many banks...

I also walk in to BI today and do cash deposit for the minimum deposit b4 i can do Duitnow transfer from other bank to BI... n luckily the money hanging is just RM20 for BSA. I choose passbook instead of debit card, FD placement done within 30 min, quite fast.

I think the problem is caused by high internet traffic for my case. It may give rise to an uncompleted FPX transaction. So in a nutshell FPX can be problematic my god if yr bank is MBB pray very hard. My missing funds finally get refunded and I thank paynet (fpx operator) people who resolved the issue. My take from this? Never ever participate in an fpx promo with harimau. I mean never again.
