Want to ask you all, any one experience this before?
Place E-FD via maybank2u, fund from Public bank.
Money deducted from public bank, but not reflected in maybank.
and the money gone....
called maybank, they just push the balll to public bank.... since is FPX, public cant do anything....

anyone know any fastest way to get back the money?

The merchant claims it has not received my payment although the FPX transaction status is successful. What should I do?

FPX transaction status is final and the merchant is obligated to deliver the goods/services or to update your payment in a timely manner. In this case, you should contact the merchant for the delivery of your goods/services purchased. You can provide the necessary details such as the online receipt issued by FPX/merchant or the email notification received from FPX that contain the following details:

i. FPX Transaction ID
ii. Merchant Order No.
iii. Payment amount;
iv. Date and time of the payment.

Perbadanan Insurans Deposit Malaysia (PIDM) Bill 2010 was passed by the Parliament and came into operation on 31 December 2010.
The new bill provides for enhanced deposit insurance coverage for the protection of financial consumers, with an increased deposit insurance limit of RM250,000 per depositor per member bank.
This will protect 99% of retail depositors in full. In addition, foreign currency deposits will now also be covered under the deposit insurance system.

Why bring up old news though?
99% of retail depositors but that remaining 1% depositors in aggregate probably have like 30% of total retail deposits in the banking system

If that is the case, that old news maybe trying to tell that 1%,, can split up their fd a/c to covers abt 10 millions each of them have cash in fd with pidm

*10mil* is just an estimated figures, need to see the number of pidm members n also the numbers of them offering 2 types of a/c types.

Phew, I guess it's safer to just put in the extra effort to separate all the deposits in different banks for PIDM then. Thanks!

money not gone. there is a trail of fund movement between pbb (sender) <-> fpx/paynet <-> mbb (receiver)

also, money goes thru FPX, which is a fund transfer platform managed by PayNet. they do the fund "routing".

usually fund reflect is slow due to FPX platform delay, so both parties (mbb and pbb) didnt get updates.

so, the transfer is in "limbo"

this issue not just related to efd. any services that uses FPX will face this.

occasionally FPX will have backlogs/slow processing due to traffic (eg payday, month end, ecommerce sales, etc)

FPX has auto-retry mechanism. if it failed, both sender and receiving party will be notified of success or failure.

unfortunately, u gotta wait for the status by mbb or pbb.

I just encountered the same thing (FPX from PBE to MBB). Did you managed to get MBB to acknowledge the FD placement?

Well, i would say that's the weakness and benefits in using FPX.
i think among the member banks, they have some settlement daily or periodically for this FPX.
Once it is not tally, the bank need to investigate and do the adjustment accordingly. Unfortunately, it may take up to few days for checking.

i once experienced it took 3 days to get reversed.
So sometime, just pray for a smooth transaction..

Thanks for the sharing. The CS said they're looking into it and will call me back (I've provided the FPX transaction ID).
Never encountered such issues doing FPX to other banks. Only when MBB is the destination.
