QUOTE(babienn @ Jan 8 2018, 11:47 PM) Bro you've answered yourself. Because the interest that was supposed to be forfeit(due to early withdrawal) was monthly credited to your saving account. If you add back all the past monthly interest together with your current withdrawn deducted principal they will be equal to your original principal. In a simple way, you are not getting any interest due to early withdrawal. Said i deposit 30k FD in 10/10/17, and then i got monthly interest of 100 in Nov17 and Dec17, but decided to withdraw on today 08/01/18 by two day earlier. But the amount withdrew i get is 29900 (30k-100). U can forfiet my Jan18 interest but how come u can deduct my 30k principal ? I placed close to 3 months but i get 30k +100 +100 -100 ??? |

QUOTE(alexanderclz @ Jan 9 2018, 12:07 AM) likely because maybank paid u in full monthly but u did early withdrawal. so they deduct back the extra money given to you. I now not sure Maybank GIA FD got stated this, any reference ?Premature withdrawal prior to maturity of tenure is subject to the following conditions: For withdrawals within 3 months of the investment tenure, the customers shall agree to waive the right to receive all of the attributed profit; For withdrawals after 3 months of the investment tenure and before the maturity date, the customers shall agree to waive the right to receive 50% of the attributed profit. Even so, i placed close to 3 months period but what i get is 1 month interest ? Seems logic fair ? |

QUOTE(dreign @ Mar 16 2018, 12:44 PM) Correct me if I am wrong. Yeah, the FD is just a disguise to ask u put money in ASNB.This is what I understand. 10K in FD for 9 months at 6.18 roughly will get rm463.5 10K in variable fund ASNB (ASN, ASN2, ASN3 imbang, ASG) 5% sales charge rm500 from the looks of it you already -rm36.5 if the ASNB fund did not perform. Well, as long as the ASNB fund performing and generate return, there wouldnt be any loss/charge until u decide to sell it. Also u can get capital gain |
