Anyone knows whether we could provide instruction on FD upon maturity for Bank Rakyat if we are overseas on the maturity date?
I was told by one BR officer over counter that I can't do anything but let it auto-renew. This is unlike other banks which accept signed letter instruction. |

Yes, I have done that a few times with Maybank. I leave my FD certs together with a signed letter to the branch manager to act according to the instructions (normally close and transfer all balances to saving accounts) upon maturity when I was overseas. |

QUOTE(bbgoat @ Mar 28 2017, 08:39 AM) Ya, they have done that about 1 or 2 years ago. Before that we still get interest even we terminate FD within 3 mths period. Haha just shows how long I never go BR. Actually hor, I remember if say you put 12mths but takeout after say 6mths 28 days, back then, they'd pay u 6mths interest at 6mghs rate!!! Was good back then |

QUOTE(cclim2011 @ Mar 29 2017, 10:40 AM) This HongLeong Connect eFD offers by FPX method - any other banks changed their programs so can do multiple 30k placements besides keep shifting money to Maybank M2U for this offer?Besides the eFD placement, any idea whether can do similar multiple FPX for paying many others above 30K by using M2U or other banks when redirected by other vendors? I mean is this a special thing between HLConnect and M2U only or can similar thing be done for other vendors/M2U? This post has been edited by Deal Hunter: Mar 29 2017, 11:05 AM |

QUOTE(TOMEI-R @ Mar 29 2017, 09:19 AM) Only if u have multiple different bank accounts with different banks. One account only allows one Rm30k fpx per day. My pbb is. I'm not sure which bank you tried, but Maybank allows multiple FPX.Maybank Instant Bank Transfers has a limit of RM30k per day. But FPX is different. Though I can't say the same for other banks. |
