Not really because of the Tuesday date. Transferring from some bank to MBB and then doing FPX can be a headache for big sums.

Have been putting some backup sum (small amt) in MBB to earn some interests.

Would still prefer 12 mth tenure at same or higher rate. Though the monthly interest of HL is attractive.

All the efd i place pay out monthly.

They also changed their policy on premature withdrawals. Not as friendly as before . In line with market practice now.

Ya, they have done that about 1 or 2 years ago. Before that we still get interest even we terminate FD within 3 mths period.

had mine old eFD (hong leong) mature few days ago, the money was in my hong leong saving, transferred out to maybank, and back to the eFD via FXP. It works.
