Cheapest now it's RM 179 excludes GST.

Thinking of upgrading to 50mbps and get 100mbps upgrade next year. Not sure its worthwhile for me since I only download movies and music all the time.

Guys, just to inform that I've just call 100 to ask for the RM159 Unifi30 promo.

I just upgraded via the phone, from VIP10 to Adv30 for RM159(exclude GST) with Jumbo Pack & Std20(call plan - 1st 600min FOC to all number include mobile).

Only thing that my line is not entitle for the free upgrade from 30 to 50 because previously I got FOC upgrade from VIP5 to VIP10.

Still it's a good deal.

I will rage if people pay much lesser than me for Advance 50 and I will complain.

Make sure it is a stable 47 Mbps. And not jumble up and down connection

To those who just upgrade your speed, make sure you keep an eye on your speedtest. It just happened to me that I do not get the true speed of 50 Mbps. My speed always remain at 30 Mbps (previous package) all the time. Although some of us do aware that when we do not get true speed, we will turn off all the equipment for a few seconds and hoping the internet will be reset. I've done that believe me. For a few second I will get the 47-48 Mbps but later will drop back to 30 Mbps all day long. I made complaint to TM 100 and they said my connection is all normal. Because not knowing what happened on my side, later they will send some guy to your house and do the setting. My advise is DO NOT hesitate when the they say technician will come to your house (some of us afraid of being charged 53 ringgit for the technician). BTW, it is not us who create the problem.

The TM technician arrived at my house. He do the equipment check and later he made a few calls and the connection back to solid 50 Mbps. I asked him what is the issue. He said when upgrade thru telemarketer the previous account is still there. Kinda the telemarketer just paste the 50 Mbps on top of the 30 Mbps. He said the telemarketer did that so the user can enjoy upgraded speed faster la kononnya. Then when I made the complaint, it is like the short cut to erase that previous package. The norm Malaysian practice... If you made a query thru the documents and all that, you have to go through many stages of processes kan. Then when you made complaint, the pihak atasan clarify this must be solved quick! So quickly solve lorh... THE END

im paying RM220 inclusive of Hypptv. Damn

yeap, mine is stable so far. Always stick with 47.++Mbps. Those was the days where tested with wifi can get 32.xx Mbps for advance 30 package. Before upgrade to advance 50, i used to get 27 - 28 Mbps for advance 30 via wifi .

not too bad for first month. lets see down the road.

Price RM179 will remain same for next year or that is promo for this year only.

Good job - did the same 2 weeks back since the value for money of 30>50 isn't as good as the 50>100.

According to TM, if you're under the same category before and after upgrade i.e. Unifi ADVANCE 30 to 50, the contract remains as-is and not renewed to 24mths.

I can confirm this from the MyTM page of my service that currently shows the remaining contract period is indeed as claimed.

However, changing from 50 to 100 is a different category Unifi ADVANCE to PRO, thus contract will be renewed.

TBH, its kinda if silly since ur paying more but getting tied with a contract but I don't think anyone would pay to get 100 now since the 50 would be eligible for the free upgrade to 100 for next year.

It is - so do it fast. Remember, the only limitation is the technical availability of your house & area, so find out if your free upgrade can be accomodated.

I used an easy way - call 100 & ask if my house supports 100mbps, if yes, say u want to upgrade to 50mbps - in this way you have just ensured that technical availability is no longer a limitation.

They have dropped their Unifi PRO 100 plan actually for next year, it's mentioned in their FAQ pdf - going for RM299 instead of RM329. However, u would still save rm70 if getting a 50 @ 229 and getting a free upgrade.

According to them it's both upload and download.

The change will be done from their end - they tell you 7 days but you may need to "follow-up" with them if its more than that.

Shawty is right - although I'm uncertain about the 50>100, which i assume we should right?

Has anyone upgraded their 50 to 100 before? Could you pls share if the equipments were changed and what it was chamged to (pictures would be really nice).

Anyway, when I receive my speed bump of 50>100, I'll drop a reply to this as well.

I am more keen on the 4K TV box since the Huawei EC6108V8 one we get only supports FHD.

For those old user who still using Huawei HG850a BTU which is only contain fast ethernet port(Max speed 100Mbps), TM will replace the BTU Huawei HG8420W with gigabit port (Max speed 1Gbps) for you when you upgrade to 100Mbps.

For those who already using gigabit port BTU TM will not replace new BTU for you.

every unifi customer is paying for the useless hypptv, not only you

i think it is safer to 'upgrade' the speed at TM point. Last time i did my streamyx speed upgrade from 1Mbps to 4Mbps, it was completed within hour.

new installation they are giving Alcatel-Lucent I240G instead.
