QUOTE(westlife @ Dec 23 2016, 09:53 PM) slower in what way? cannot attain 100Mbps for TM while time can? Shouldn't be rite? Downloading high quality blu ray via torrent is very slow not getting torrent full speed always.seriously i feel my 30Mbps plan is real fast for all my needs, plus next year upgraded to 50Mbps will be even faster, that's why i am having dilemma if i should go for 50Mbps plan at RM229 now and get the free upgrade to 100Mbps next year. besides, i noticed the online sign up actually showed the plan that can be subscribed based on the address keyed in, i guess it should be a good 'guide' on whether an address can support 100Mbps for unifi. [attachmentid=8301983] [attachmentid=8301988] |

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Dec 23 2016, 10:15 PM) If he's not doing port forwarding, offcourse he's not getting full speed How to do port forwarding to get full speed?Yes But you still need to check if your home can support 100Mb/s or not Go to TMPoint and check with them directly And upgrading is faster through TMPoint, not through online or through resellers |

QUOTE(megahertz @ Dec 24 2016, 09:48 AM) i think u need to google and understand 1st why u need to do port forwarding before u can configure it. Need it for full speed torrent download. Friend is using 100mb but torrent download speed its slow. What the maximum speed for torrent download.u understand the concept, then easier for u to configure. or least tell us what u need @ for which application etc, then we can guide u what to configure there. QUOTE(kebeckham7 @ Dec 24 2016, 01:02 PM) my torrent speed around 12.8mb/s - 11.8mb/s, the speed also depends on seeder upload speed too. but always get 12mb/s easily. never touch the port forwarding in my router setting. Maximum torrent download is for 100mbps is 12 or 13mb even if you u used 500mbps or 1gbps speed. |

QUOTE(sHawTY @ Dec 24 2016, 02:34 PM) No it doesn't OK.. How many mb u are using? Is it enough for u?It depends on your wireless or ethernet connection speed If your PC is connected using the ethernet cable, and the port on your router / PC only supports 100Mb/s, offcourse you won't be able to get the full speed of 500Mb/s internet speed If through wireless, both your laptop and router must be able to support wireless AC to enjoy the full speed of TIME Fiber 500Mb/s |

QUOTE(kebeckham7 @ Dec 24 2016, 11:02 PM) if u use gigabit lan whether it is built in or pci card u can get 60mb/s~ for 500Mbps 120mb/s ~ for 1Gbps. Wifi now days support with AC connection also can get better speed. maximum torrent speed for tm home consumers 12-13mb. Thinking of upgrading to 50mbps and get 100mbps upgrade next year. Not sure its worthwhile for me since I only download movies and music all the time. This post has been edited by christina1: Dec 25 2016, 08:26 AM |
