haha... as i mentioned many pages ago... there is 1 easy method of preventing this...

get a wife... and let her keep your credit cards... best if you let her manage your bank account as well... no doubt, that you will be very miserable after that... but beats regretting spending too much...

wife = financial controller

if there are plenty of pretty chicks riding in bikini for those 3 days... i'd go even if it's double the price...
29er... if you are not the itchy to change things type... and you ride XC a lot...

i figure it will take another year before the full 29er fad starts picking up... that being said, you still have to hope that 29er parts like wheels and forks are in if you are the itchy type... variety is a problem currently with the 29er...
*
Ah well, guess I'll wait a bit then. Not to mention that if I change now, I'll get into deep crap with my FC tongue.gif

this is a solution to a problem that should not have existed in the first place... we blame it on human nature then...

i got the ultimate plan... coax your FC into cycling then... so, so you can let her ride your current rig... and buy a 29er...

tell her you need 2 bikes so you and her can go out and cycle together... at the same time can develop a closer bond of you closer and spend more time together by sharing the same passion...chicks dig the relationship shit cheers.gif

and if you are seeing long term... anything you upgrade on your new 29er can be used as an excuse to upgrade her bike... just pass down your old stuff and tell her it is better for her ride cheers.gif

Is it possible to get a Official pinarello t shirt with that thing above here in KL? I kinda like it cause it looked like its taken from japanese anime.

About rider protection after my big big crash. Dont the road rider wear somekind of protection as in some elbow/knee pad cause that were most of my injuries were. Not to mention somekind of farbrics that can withstand being dragged without tearing apart as what happend to me to be dragged few m after being fell at 40kmh with my leg still in my pedals and toppped up with top layer of my skin being torn off hmm.gif

you can wear long pants, gloves and long sleeve jerseys... but i doubt those will hold up at high speed...

you can see the pro tour riders attire gets ripped to shreds when they crash at high speeds...

you can wear the MTB protection gear as long as you don't mind being looked at with a weird eye when passing other cyclist... there are no rules that say you can't... it just looks like overkill...

Yup seen they jersey got ripped off and still can ride very well. I guess they had the whole team medical team behind them unlike us where we had to go clinic ourself to sort the injuries up.

I do plan to slap some knee/elbow protection the nenxt time i ride.

I actually did think of that brows.gif give her my current 26' hard tail while I get a 29er

Only problem is that the optimum size for her to use is a 14' while the 6000 that I got is a 15.5'

ah well, still plotting here smile.gif
