where is the best place to get a Giant road bike? How many % discount is to be expected?

Any Giant owners can share their experience in terms of Giant warranty/service/place to buy/discount/sales?

Giant Malaysia facebook page is hopelessly slow in update and lack of useful information.

Imaging for MSRP and dealer list they also wont put on website, and only able to give you if you email them your email addresses. How to do business like that these days...

Actually I am more interested on the 2012 models, because 2012 got
1. new frame design
2. upgraded fork (composite ->advanced)
3. overdrive steerer -> OverDrive 2 Steerer (up to 40 percent stiffer than the existing OverDrive with no weight penalty  )
4. Seat Post (Giant Carbon -> GIANT ADVANCED Aero)
Anyhow some info on what I have found out about 2011 Taiwan TCR SL, compared to Malaysia TCR SL 2011:

Compared 2011 to 2012 (take taiwan prices cos I dont have Malaysian 2012 prices yet), prices have generally go up. So should I wait for 2012 version? Any idea how TCR Composite (carbon fibre) compared to TCR SL (Superlite Aluminium)?

More trail / mountains = MTB
Road only = road

Mixed = hybric? I am not sure what is a hybric bike actually.. was considering it before I set my mind on road

actually it isn't a push pull method... it is more towards developing a efficient and perfect pedal stroke... and you are right... like driving a manual car... it takes time to perfect it and not just one or 2 days..

but first thing you need is at least a toe strap if not a clipless pedal...

my lousy explanation basically, there are four pedal zones... let us us put it as 12, 3, 6 and 9 o'clock position

1) between 1 to 5 o'clock position, this is where you generate the most amount of power where you are pushing down on the pedals... whether you are a ankle or toe pedal sort of rider is your preference..

2) from 5 to 7 o'clock, you imagine you are dragging your feet against the ground or trying to scrap some dirt off your shoes...

3) 7 to 11 o'clock position you lift your feet up

4) 11 to 1 o'clock position you imagine you are trying to lift and flick your feet over an obstacle and return to 1 o'clock position

you can always set your saddle further back with the rails...

as for the lever reach.. for ST-5700 models.. there is reach adjustment availability, means that you can set your lever closer to the drop bar for easier reach... you might have to release your calipers a bit as it means pulling your brakes a bit...

but as far as i understand... OEM shifters do not come provided with the reach adjustment wedge...

you might have to source it online or through shimano dealers...

an excerpt from shimano 105 page for the shifter.
"fit can be customized through a series of shims creating reach adjustment. Two sizes of shims reduce reach by 5mm or 10mm for maximum comfort and control."
best if you can test and compare between yours and other people's one.. so you don't spend money into where it might not help..
danger starts once you ride other people's bike... gives you things to think about...

i trust golf is still more expensive than cycling... cycling is a one time investment thing if you don't gatal... golf... gatal or not, minimally you still have to buy balls.. and they don't come cheap when you want to get balls that can travel further and shit...
