Tyres get noisier when they harden which is after usage and the top soft layer wears off. Hence the noise getting louder progessively. Also, generally our Civic wheel arch dampening is quite poor compared to other similar segment cars hence the excessive tyre noise even in moderate speed (you will notice more if you are used to driving other cars.)

Changing to quieter tyres will help initially but also not for long and not much difference after prolonged usage. The initial quietness will wear off as well.

Solution... turn up the volume  icon_rolleyes.gif

I experienced louder road noise. Recently i can really hear the motor passing by my car more clearer compare to when I just got the car.

Also, my Maintenance minder is showing "Service due now" with 240km left but the earliest slot for service is next monday. sad.gif

Was busy so I totally forgot to call to book for a service slot.

Should i watch out for anything so that I prevent it from reaching 0? rclxub.gif

Wow.... Stuff some pillows eh... Hehehe... First time hearing it. biggrin.gif
Some tyres are just plain noisy. I've used S Drive long time ago in my Altis. Straight away can hear the rumbling noise. After a few weeks, cannot tahan I changed the whole tyres to Bridgestone RE002 (latest one that time). Straight away can feel the difference and it lasted me quite some time before I sold the car.
*
Generally I think Altis has better noise dampening and comfort. Anyway I use to use Michelin on my previous car, also much quieter than Conti but not enough to make me feel my money's worth for the new Michelin tires.. and normally the noise reduction is obvious when we first change coz New vs old.

Not to mention I hate stoopid Conti tires, local made iwith mport price

If you hear obvious motorbike noise then should check if door seal is ok. Door sound dampening is not bad for Civic.

Pass by a few hundred is ok for servicing unless you overshoot by 1k. My SC (Honda Melaka) told me.

Planning to get the Trapo carpet.

Is it necessary to remove the original carpet before setting the Trapo in ? Or you can just lay on top ? According to the CS of Trapo, it might not stick well with our carpet. Any review from the members members here ?

Or is it better to go for the traditional maggi mee type ?
*
The trapo is really nice, very light weight and easy to clean. I didnt take off the original mat even though trapo sent me a plastic cover which supposedly is used to keep the ori mat. No issue with sticking on the original mat.

Maybe better than previous gen. I am not sure. Personally, the one thing ii think this car need improvement is tyre noise. Wind sound comes after 130 which is acceptable.

But I still love this car to bits coz the drive experience wins hands down smile.gif

I heard that mazda car at speed 60-80 already wind noise?

Usually I bought my Civic accessories at Senawang. The owner has Civic FC and he knows what best for our Civic. His shop name is S PLUS AUTO ACC.  rclxms.gif
Even if you are using other brand also same. If the lock nuts get damaged, you also need to drill or force to open. But atleast you know your sport rim is safe because you are using wheel locks.  tongue.gif

Bro, i got a new honda civic fc, i tried to apply the glaco .

I did it at night, my procedure basically is washing the whole car and dry off. Then i apply Ultra Glaco on my windscreen and rear mirror. Then waited for 15 min , then i buff off with a dry cloth.

But then no matter how hard i buff off, i can still see some white stain under the light.

Worse thing, when i went up to genting, i can see alot of mark when my glass fog up , seems like ultra glaco has stained my screen.

i ended up went back to honda and got them to treat my glass to make it clear again.

May i know what has i done wrong?

Don't worry too much about the service interval. Even if its zero its fine. Exceeding it by a few hundred wont be an issue. Uve already got a service slot.

Typical nonsense talk that SA's give ppl whom they think don't know much about cars and can be conned.

No such thing as tints voiding warranty these days. That used to be the case maybe 10 yrs ago when some tints were too thick thus causing increased friction & subsequently stress on the power window motor. New branded tints are much thinner and even the 6mm high grade security tints are well within normal operating parameters for the power windows.

The only thing that can easily void warranty is any modification to the structure or electronics of the car.

Experienced this once when I inquire about pedal lock. The SA told me that it will void warranty if I installed it outside, "unless" they do it for you.

And the best part, when I further ask on the warranty part, only cover by that particular branch laugh.gif
Which means if you end up going for travel and have issue cause by the pedal lock, other branch will not entertain.

With that, I still install the lock at outside shop tongue.gif

1st thing 1st.
What you used to wash your screen ?

You have to clean it completely, make sure no oil stain or whatsoever before apply ultra glaco.

1) I use Soft 99 Glass Refresh to clean the screen . First, you use the abrasive brush given in the package, rub firmly to your screen and then wash off. (Recommended do it under shade, if direct hot sun will leave stain that you have to manually brush off while cleaning)
2) Wipe the screen completely dry, it is better to do it under hot sun (quicker)
3) Apply Soft 99 Ultra Glaco in circular motion
4) Wipe it off after 10-15mins, let it cure for 12 hours (as recommended) to take the best effect.
5) Try to drive > 70kph you will see the result

What ! RM92 for that two thing. Quite cheap. I bought separately, both Rm55 around sweat.gif

I use normal car shampo, i used soft 99 shampoo i bought from Eneos One Utama
.
I shall try again during hot , day time . based on weather forecast , coming few days also rainy season, sigh.

Bro, after we apply , so after months it wears off and we need to re-apply, do we need to repeat the same process? 1, apply glass refresh 2,apply glaco . or we can straight apply the glaco ?

Also, after we apply the glaco, prevent water mark from staining , especially after rain ?

I own the mazda, can tell you that wind noise on par, just that tyre roar is loud.

2 main factor :
1) OEM tyres, performance type
2) Arch dampening not good

Also, the larger tyre with lower tyre height, less "cushion" to isolate the noise. I also suspect the suspension bushings could have a slight blame. But the handling is thumbsup.gif
