So recently I found out that turning off econ mode actually reduces the issue where the car will jerk slightly when accelerating slowly from stop during traffic jam (it usually happens at speed around 5km/h).

So far havent face the jerk motion when i turn off econ mode.

Another question which i want to confirm: It should be ok to switch from D <> S when driving right? Since it should be just electronically changing the way the CVT chooses the gear ratio.

While moving you can safely change:
D <-> S, D -> N <- R

You need to be at a complete stop before changing:
D <- N -> R <-> P

Saw a test on Mythbusters though - a speeding car changing automatic gears from D to R and D to P. The car protects itself by shutting off completely. Don't dare to experiment it on my own car though biggrin.gif

I changed from D to P before, the engine shuts down itself. But this is on a proton saga.

I once did P to R when the engine wasn't fully start up yet cause i was in a hurry. The engine failed to start, Had to put back to P before starting it.

After do research and do comparison, I installed Locktech. Remote start is working, even after use the double locked mechanism. Tested several times. So far no problem. But I rarely use remote start anyway.

Edit: Other than Locktech, you can check Aorto and TwinsLock. Do you own comparison and study, and make your decision.

One question, did you install the full package? Cause if you install the locktech, you can opt whether to install/connect the electronic part of the lock.
Interesting to hear that remote start is working eventhough by right it should not work after you double lock the pedal lock.

Tyres get noisier when they harden which is after usage and the top soft layer wears off. Hence the noise getting louder progessively. Also, generally our Civic wheel arch dampening is quite poor compared to other similar segment cars hence the excessive tyre noise even in moderate speed (you will notice more if you are used to driving other cars.)

Changing to quieter tyres will help initially but also not for long and not much difference after prolonged usage. The initial quietness will wear off as well.

Solution... turn up the volume  icon_rolleyes.gif

I experienced louder road noise. Recently i can really hear the motor passing by my car more clearer compare to when I just got the car.

Also, my Maintenance minder is showing "Service due now" with 240km left but the earliest slot for service is next monday. sad.gif

Was busy so I totally forgot to call to book for a service slot.

Should i watch out for anything so that I prevent it from reaching 0? rclxub.gif
