I did instant transfer, wonder why it is posted on following day. Secondly, is the payment date is based on posted date instead if transacted date? I never had issue like this before. If your statement is valid, it means there is no surety whether I won’t be charged if I do instant transfer on due date....anyone has this kind of experience?

posting date is more accurate as it is considered "final" state.

just wondering, your ibft from which bank and what time was the transfer?

likely from few possibilities...

1) your bank (where ibft was initiated), coincidentally it was having maintenance down time; any outgoing transfer was processed next day?
2) scb, coincidentally it was having maintenance down time; any incoming transfer was processed next day?
3) paynet, routing or recon issue; hence the delay in posting?
4) or certain bank may have cut-off transfer time, even IBFT <-- havent encounter this

so far, my IBFT from m2u -> scb is same day posting; although i havent tried to IBFT exactly on due date since my payment is grouped with other cc due date which is 1-2 days earlier than scb's.

**just did some digging**

all my payments around end of the month has same-day posting, whereas 1 payment instance in early of the month, has next-day posting -- newly applied card, so the statement/due date is not my choice.

I actually checked with the CS actually, she mentioned no "late payment" traced, as their system takes upto 24hrs to update the record. There shouldn't be an issue she said.

I don't fully trust till I see the next statement to ensure it is safe.

but since she said their system takes upto 24hrs to update, even is instant transfer, better to make transaction a day earlier, or latest before 12 NOON of that day to be safe.

I think all banks treat transaction date for IBFT. I haven't got charged for interest yet for payments made for SCB, even I have been paying on the due date itself.

been doing future transfer for SCB cards from Maybank on the due date itself for many months already except public holidays / weekend will put to the nearest working day before or on the due date itself and never got any late payment issue so far.
didn't aware of the risk, does it too risky for the pattern?

I just dig my previous statement. The posted date is 2 days later but no interest charges. Based on this, I think we can conclude payment on due date is not an issue if do IBFT regardless when it’s posted.

Too bad I don't have a SA with SCB. Maybe I should open 1 basic one without annual fee.

May I know which bank can schedule instant transfers on a later date? That sounds canggih as I'm only aware of scheduled IBG instead of scheduled instant transfers.

As per your normal transfer trx, at the [mode of transfer] choose 'instant transfer' instead of IBG.

so looks like smaran44 has proved it is no risk if it is transacted at that day. so seems like no risk? hahaha

Had made payment via IBFT from HLB yesterday evening and when checked today, it's captured and reflected in transaction record.

If the payment has yet to be reflected, then we can always check the Available credit limit has increased (by the amount paid/transfered) accordingly upon successful transaction.

Hi guys,

I'm using JOP. The cashback is tracked and awarded based on a cardholder statement cycle right?

I have maxed out my potential cashback for this statement cycle. (Spending above Rm2500)

My card statement has just been released around 26 May. Is it safe to say I can spend again to earn cashback for my next statement?

Sorry for the noob question.
