This morning attempted few times to reach CS via live chat but in vain. Then finally successfully connected with CS today like 5 min into 6pm 😅 to request for a card cancellation before SST charging in coming June. CS has submitted my request which I emphasized on cancellation prior to SST charge, hopefully it can be processed by end of this month. CS advised it requires 5 working days.

Btw, anyone know whether is there a way to retrieve Live Chat history? Thanks.

My LFC and JOP have been charged SST, would like to ask if I have no transaction for the previous month and current month ... Can I just request to cancel them without paying the SST ? TQ

I don't think you can. I normally screenshot and save a copy of the text version.

you have to call and ask the bank. If in doubt, call 2-3 times to see if their answers are consistent.

I have cancelled my world miles card last month due to sst charge to my card. After charge , I call them to waive it and they refuse and I proceed the cancellation .

For this card actually I have overpaid rm10 and after sst charged, I still owe them rm15. However, finally my card is cancelled and sst also be waived and rm10 extra is credited to my jop card.

I was lucky last year that they give me AF waiver (that time don't havr sst) easily with no question ask.

i charge sst first in march. wil only charge annual fee on june. i fail waive annual fee for my world miles and i cancel it. it ok for me to pay rm25 for sst but i worry i fail to waive my annual fee after i pay the sst. so i choose to cancel it.

dont worry too early la. wait they charge first and ask the retention team to call u.

standardchart will not ask u to pay sst or annual fee if u cancel the card after it charged.

If you are not planning to use your card in future, just cancel it . simple.

Dont think that the bank will waive your card if you seldom / never use it.

Bigpay yes. Just reload everything into bigpay if you have the card

I see.. i encountered few banks nowadays are - when SST show up on the transaction, they will insist me to pay rm25 regardless cancel or not.

What about Boost? Is it counted too?

My bigpay reached limit for this month, so I had to top up half to boost.
