QUOTE(pokemon @ Dec 11 2023, 11:36 AM) How did you submit the request? The website seems mostly seems the same as the outdated app and only has a request for annual fee waiver. The hotline is always busy and I even went to a branch to ask about the waiver and they said it was not possible lol |

QUOTE(sjz @ Dec 11 2023, 01:23 PM) ? Uhhh.. the other poster just said they got it.I've also gotten the RM 25 SST/Service tax waivers for my previous cards from Citibank & HSBC by calling the respective card issuer's hotlines. Perhaps the banks might employ different terms such as 'rebates' or 'credits' but functionally they are still waivers. iirc Citibank in particular used that reasoning ("we are required to charge SST by the govt") but will reimburse you by crediting the amount on the next statement after you pay. |

While the banks can't outright bypass the issuance of the SST/Service tax, the above is essentially a workaround to providing the user a 'waiver'. In any case, SC is definitely one of the most troublesome banks to deal with lol When my HSBC card was affected by the ipay88 data breach last year, while I couldn't contact them via the hotline as it was constantly busy, I was still able to have things resolved by visiting a branch. In the case of SC, they messed up the delivery of my card and I had problems with the app but when I went to a branch for assistance they basically told me to contact the hotline which is somehow always busy too lol |

Is that how they work? |

Extremely difficult to get their CS these days. I think they are practicing if you cannot reach them means no problem
