Aha, same like mine
I got them from this taobao shop, cheaper than ebay/aliexpress so far

So you're using a multilanguage nvr too? Like DS-7808N?

First you have to know what kind of camera and recording unit suit your need, and also your budget.
Once you identified the camera and recording unit model that suit your need, you may proceed to find the product either on the internet or physical shop.

Recording by Synology's Surveillance Station.
My personal testing and concluded that motion detection from
Synology better and precise than Hilvision. No unnecessary recording.

The license fee is quite expensive though
Can buy one 4/5mp camera for each license sweat.gif

How precise is synology motion detection?
Like if there's shadows, rain, leaf blowing etc
Are the motion detected recordings in maximum 3/4mp quality?

synology motion detection can specify the area which you want to have the motion detection activated.
For example if you have a camera pointing towards your front gate or over your fench, you can actually configure the Surveillance Station to ignore specific corners in your LiveView.

Please refer to link above for more info.

No doubt it is expensive.Bought the 4 license package when I got
the DS210J a few years back.
The best part is when I buy the new DS216+ last year,
it comes with 2 free licenses and the old 4 license can be transferred
to new DS216+.
Yes, motion detection recording resolution is 1920X1080 H.264.Very
clear recording.
The Synology's Surveillance Station has many options to set individual
camera parameter.
Motion detection can be set to avoid the sensitive area.
I think this is very basic.

All HIKVISION HD-TVI DVR got built-in motion detection function.
The processing is at DVR end, not Camera. Coz it is not IPCam.

Attached Image

U can set motion record, and motion push notification too.

If u jz need one or two indoor camera, mainly for monitoring, go for wireless ipcam like xiaomi cam.
CCTV mainly for monitoring. Alarm is for security.
When alarm trigger, it call u then u remote access to ur CCTV to verify situation of ur house.
If u need outdoor camera, better buy cctv like HIKVISION.
U can opt for cheaper version, TurboHD by Hikvision, intead of their IP system.

y can't use xiaomi at entrance?
if only 1 alarm point, u can go lazada for DIY wireless alarm, a lot cheap DIY wireless alarm..
Some are GSm alarm, u need to get a simcard for it. Some can connect to phone line.

Else, go for Bluguard Ximple Wireless alarm, which come with 1 PTZ Camera. It is a GSM alarm, need simcard.
Price start from RM1299.
