I'd recommend you get this model
A lot better than 720p version, can upgrade firmware with no issues

If u jz need one or two indoor camera, mainly for monitoring, go for wireless ipcam like xiaomi cam.
CCTV mainly for monitoring. Alarm is for security.
When alarm trigger, it call u then u remote access to ur CCTV to verify situation of ur house.
If u need outdoor camera, better buy cctv like HIKVISION.
U can opt for cheaper version, TurboHD by Hikvision, intead of their IP system.

Yes

Yes, for mijia you'll need to download yi home camera for windows (china version)

You mean multiple cctv view? Only on the windows app
Normally only can view 1 camera at a time and you need to switch to another one on the phone app

Anyone mind sharing which UPS you're using with your cctv setup?
I found a few on lazada like this

https://www.lazada.com.my/right-power-ups-b...0.0.Q2LyAG&ff=1

I also browse other forums about their ups feedback with cctv, and something like APS 1500va was able to power 8 poe cameras + 1 nvr + 2tb hdd for more than 2 hours

http://forums.whirlpool.net.au/archive/2509177

arju
Regarding my last comparison for ipcamera
Technically you can use ups with yi wifi home camera, like this

Terrace house?
For external, mainly cover your house perimeter, pointing at your house door/windows...
For internal, can put at living, dining area, kitchen...

Hi,

Which technology is the most common offer by cctv installer nowadays ?

Is it common to use IP CCTV camera here ? Like using RJ45 connect camera to a NVR, hosting the video file by ourself.

Few year ago when Coax system still analog (max 1000TVL, resolution max 720x480), if you want HD, 720P system, u need to use IP. But now the trend is TVI, CVI, AHD.. Still Use Coax. For example, TVI and CVI now can support Camera 5megapixel. AHD support Camera 1.3MP (720p) or 2MP (1080P).

This let user who still using old system can direct upgrade to higher resolution system, use higher megapixel camera.
When demand high and higher, price will become lower and lower.

So the trend now is High Resolution over Coax.

Quality and Price: TVI > CVI > AHD
IP is most expensive if u compare TVI, CVI, AHD system with same resolution.
For small scale, go to Coax System.
For large scale, go for IP system.

What is ur house size?
4 - 6 consider very small.
Jz go for Coax System.

Large Scale is like multi floor office, residential area, shopping mall, parking lot....
