Well you know how it is in D mode. unless you mash the throttle its not gonna give you enough revs for proper boost to come in. of course in other drive modes it is fine. so when you dont mash the throttle it tries to give you some boost but at now enough revs ie 2k revs. that will be lugging the turbo
QUOTE(khairilyazit @ Oct 24 2018, 09:32 PM)
How do u lug the turbo? If the engine is not giving u more revs, then ur not giving it enough throttle..

Its a problem of chicken or egg.. if u want more boost, u need the engine to turn more.. more throttle or higher gear ratio.. it feels as if its lugging becayse the exhaust note stays the same.. the turbo cant spool if there is no exhaust gas..

I see.
Have you change the CVT damper? Heard it will improve the vibration.
Just that need to queue as SC only take 2 cars per day.
*
I just got my car back yesterday form the Mutiara SC.
CVT damper changed + 40k full package service.
They also had to Change my engine mountings & cvt mountings but is not under waranty as past 3 years apparently. The flywheel bolt, hose changed too etc

They also remapped the ECU.

In overall, the throttle and engine response feels different. Less sluggish and more responsive. Vibrations reduced significantly especially in D mode going uphill form a standstill if u accelerate abruptly. The engine used to sound more heavy, but now its less, & can hear the iriz engine note albeit minimal. I like it. Somehow gave a nostalgic feeling driving it home like my previous satria gti lol

All in all about 1150, excluding tyre rotation since I've done that

Just ask.. since the damper is considered a recall too
*
ok. Today I am in COSE for EO change, asked them to check FEAD belt, to check OCH condition, to check fan harness condition, to perform CVT clutch adaptation, to replace rocker valve gasket and check some weird sound like brake pad grind against rotor which occur ocassionally.

so have asked on the ECU update, and there is no further update since the May 2018 update.

and still waiting them to check on the cvt flywheel/damper recall things after service other things.

and also verified that the fan harness is not fall under recall.

later will update on that cvt flywheel things.

The strong/violent engine shaking when moving off from standstill uphill still not solved haiyoo, apparently the ECU reflash is not the solution

spades6 got said the vibration reduces quite significantly after replace the cvt damper and flywheel..

my preve also vibrate quite aggressively if accelerate from standstill when i didnt press softly on gas pedal.

the SA told me my chassis number does not inside the recall list for the cvt dampers amd flywheel.. but he also said some customer request to replace the damper and flywheel eventhought they are not in the recall list.

and also the schedule appoinment to replace the damper and flywheel currently is fully occupied

and also.. if your current cvt clutch adaptation currently at fine condition..then dont suka2 ask proton to do the adaptation.. as mine one is a bit more delay to pickup when release the brake pedal at traffic light compared to previously.

now need to wait a bit longer compared to last time for the clutch to engage otherwise it will slip when press on pedal.

I am looking forward for mine on next week. Ald scheduled for CVT damper change but no latest ECU update. Mine faced engine vibration during cold start. SC checked and said everything in good condition.

1. Proton car are problematic , especially Preve thus Suprima S

2. Second Hand car might have unknown problem

3. Suprima S was heavy on fuel consumption

4. It was better to know well about the car before you buy it especially proton

5. Do you really need a suprima s? Since 40k can buy a smaller new car already.

6. Cvt delay and whine and characteristic , you should test drive before you decide , sometime when you need immediate move it will delay 0.5s-1s.

Good Point
- it was good price if the car has no problem
- Suprima S and Preve safety are superior for the price

I dont own a Preve/Suprima S but a few well known problem that cost alot and frequnt was

1. fuse box
2. och
3. wheel bearing
4. mounting

i just look into preve info time to time and above were what i found , it should be more than that.
example - cannot start , cvt problem. it was better to go with manual for proton.

Point 6 - CVT3+ has very little whine on Suprima, or at least it's far from being as loud as the CVT3 found on older Preve Turbos. The delay in CVT is very minimal for the Suprima compared to the rest of proton cars with Punch gearbox, and it's much better after the latest TCU/ECU update and damper recall. The engine/transmission mountings become less of a problem with the new damper, which reduces vibration by quite a lot. Worth the Rm700 if it's not under warranty. It is still far from feeling like "toyota cvt" unlike what some people claim, but nonetheless it's still a very much needed change.

I hardly read about wheel bearing problems, so where did you read about it? Fuse box issue seems to be mostly affecting the Preve, and is actually quite a cheap fix for those with electrical knowledge as far as I know.
