Is there any 2nd round of Achilles tire recall by Proton to change Continental CSC3 mentioned by Prosmac in FB?

If this case, the tire must be from 2013. Mine is with newer batch of Achilles.
I find it is hard to claim for new tires without recall from Proton. SC will give all kinds of excuses to reject your request.

If not mistaken, the HU version is 7.26. After that, no more update for HU.

Check the tyres for cracks, tears and etc. If there are any, snap photos and email proton care.

The result is still the same. They will reject with reason that the crack due to cut by something and it is not cover under warranty after few weeks of waiting. This is my experience with SC.

well my 2013 batch achilles tires has alot of minor cracks on the thread area. the moment car arrived i already checked this portion and told my SA about it.
he was very kind to raise a request and after 1.5 mths I got them replaced with 2016 CSC3.

Mine shows 7.84 for OS version.
*
Yes, same case for me. Many crack lines at the thread area. I only have it after 15k km driving. I didn't get the claim until the recall.

Seems like there is new version. Problem here they only provide HU checking on Monday and Thursday when the vendor is in. Need to ask SC to update HU version during my damper replacement.

HU is covered for only 1 year.. or 20,000km..
*
Do you have the details what are covered under 5 years and what are covered under 3 years for this car?
The service booklet information is kind of not clear.

Didn't heard anything about this, but whomever done the update - kindly dyno you car. Preferably before and after.

Do you know anyone has insider news/update? According to my SA, the ECU update can prolong the radiator fan life span.

Just changed the black oil together with updated the latest ECU... Got feel different... but don't know how to say...
*
Hi. I also updated my ECU on last weekend. The throttle response definitely faster, no lag but I notice the engine vibration visible during waiting for traffic light. "D" + brake on.
Do you notice this?

Did you updated it at COSE? I have called one SC outside and they said they have not receiving any news on the ECU update...
Does this ECU update also apply to preve older version (Before the NVH refinement model)?
*
I went to Proton Edar branch SC. As far as I know, only applicable for Preve and Suprima with VT3+ gearbox.
I am not sure what is the CVT version for that.

Guys, want to ask whether there is official ECU fix version 2 after the May 2018 update? My SC told me no update but I saw a few forum members here did that during regular service.

go to bigger sc.. small sc dont know anything one
ah... sorry. please ignore my reply as i wrongly read your post. that day i have do the inquiry at COSE whether there is 2nd ecu update or not since the May 2018 update.. they said no, didnt have 2nd update.
*
Oh, you also asked in COSE and there is no update... Hmm, wonder how the rest did it at other SC.
My car have more vibration and weird sound now during cold start in the morning (when gear in N or R mode). After drive for 10mins, then the vibration will reduce and back to normal. Do you have any idea what to be check?
I hope that is not mounting problem.

i also dunno.. my preve after crank start, sometime steering got vibration.. sometime didnt have.. so i guess its due to the position of wheel when i switch off the car.. while for the car itself.. no much vibration can be felt.

dunno where i read.. there is improved version of mounting for enine n gearbox since dunno what year aldy.. 2014, 2015?
*
I see.
Have you change the CVT damper? Heard it will improve the vibration.
Just that need to queue as SC only take 2 cars per day.

my preve is 2014 cvt3+, no warranty. and also dunno if the car chassis number was in the recall or not. if its recall, since no warranty n have to pay for the parts.

this sunday will go cose for service n try ask if my car is in the list or not.
*
I thought 5 years warranty for engine and gear box? Preve No 5 years? Suprima yes.
Pls update us once you got back from COSE.

I just got my car back yesterday form the Mutiara SC.
CVT damper changed + 40k full package service.
They also had to Change my engine mountings & cvt mountings but is not under waranty as past 3 years apparently. The flywheel bolt, hose changed too etc

They also remapped the ECU.

In overall, the throttle and engine response feels different. Less sluggish and more responsive. Vibrations reduced significantly especially in D mode going uphill form a standstill if u accelerate abruptly. The engine used to sound more heavy, but now its less,  & can hear the iriz engine note albeit minimal. I like it. Somehow gave a nostalgic feeling driving it home like my previous satria gti lol

All in all about 1150, excluding tyre rotation since I've done that
*
I am looking forward for mine on next week. Ald scheduled for CVT damper change but no latest ECU update. Mine faced engine vibration during cold start. SC checked and said everything in good condition.

Did they charge you for the CVT oil after changed CVT damper? I was told the CVT oil not included. Only free 1 litre.

They only have to replace 1 litre of fluid for the recall. According to the foreman i was talking  they reuse the previous oil
*
Yes, but there is a trick. The oil must not be changed more than 3 months. Mine just changed 6 months ago.
If reuse, the container is clean and not polluted with any dirt? Just to ensure gearbox will not have problem after warranty.
