Did anyone get a call from your regular SC about a recall of CVT damper? They fix for free but need to leave the car with them for 2 days.. Anyone know whats up with the damper for CVT?

I asked and got mine replaced. No changes to noise level. Vibration has been reduced a lot.

I would recommend you changing all the engine & gearbox mountings (total 4 pcs) and also the steering rack bushings coz if 1 is damaged, chances are all are....Just changed all on mine and the car is as smooth as silk on the roads.

Last time SC changed left and right mounting only. Not cheap also.

Engine mounting is wear and tear part. Sooner or later u need to replace them when the car start to vibrate abnormally especially when you can feel it from the steering wheel.

Just chemical cleaned the throttle located behind the air filter. Lots of carbon accumulation in the throttle and after cleaning can feel the car more powerful. My car is already 4 yrs + never clean before.

Example of throttle opening in red circle after removal of hose and air filter.

hi bro, based on my research get the latest model possible. i bought a second hand unit as well. i got a 2016 unit. They seem to have changed a few things in the 2016 models from the fuse box to fan socket and etc. as far as the engine mounts is concern it i have replaced mine before with original proton unit, vibration still felt if u lug the turbo. i hate lugging the turbo but in D mode it tends to do that instead of giving more revs. perhaps aftermarket mounts may be better.as far as the general car is concern to be proactive with the maintenance and you should be fine. alot of people pick preve because they feel it has a larger bot space, however the access into the boot is horrible, im sure a couple of people would have hit their head on the boot opening. all the best in your hunt and make sure u have a emergency car fund always on standby and do look for a well maintained unit as i know alot of people spend on the looks of the car and very lil on the actual care of the engine, suspension and etc.

How do u lug the turbo? If the engine is not giving u more revs, then ur not giving it enough throttle..

Guys, want to ask whether there is official ECU fix version 2 after the May 2018 update? My SC told me no update but I saw a few forum members here did that during regular service.

Oh, you also asked in COSE and there is no update... Hmm, wonder how the rest did it at other SC.
My car have more vibration and weird sound now during cold start in the morning (when gear in N or R mode). After drive for 10mins, then the vibration will reduce and back to normal. Do you have any idea what to be check?
I hope that is not mounting problem.

i also dunno.. my preve after crank start, sometime steering got vibration.. sometime didnt have.. so i guess its due to the position of wheel when i switch off the car.. while for the car itself.. no much vibration can be felt.

dunno where i read.. there is improved version of mounting for enine n gearbox since dunno what year aldy.. 2014, 2015?

They still don't last. Just buy aftermarket mounting set like Provision.

I see.
Have you change the CVT damper? Heard it will improve the vibration.
Just that need to queue as SC only take 2 cars per day.
