ah okok could be an issue with the quality of the mounts. hope you managed to solve it. btw our cars are plagued with engine mount issues. most complain that they dont last.

Engine top mounting bro.. This was diagnosed by the Technician himself and he said this is common in NCP 150 vios

Hi All , now i'm driving SAGA BLM 1.3 for almost 10 year already.

Planning to buy Suprima S. I was planning to buy used Suprima S but wife insist on new due to 5 year warranty and now 0% SST now. Can anyone recommend me a good Sales adviser around Klang Valley area ?

For 2018 Suprima, the OCH did proton upgraded them to better hose? I heard alot the OCH also have issue.

Thank You.

Hi Bro, i am not sure if there is a 2018 model Suprima. Most places i seen them getting rid of 2017 models. i suggest you test drive the car and have a feel first. the cvt will need some getting used to, as you need to have some patience on take off and allow the clutch to bite before giving it more throttle, otherwise you will be in line to repair gearbox prematurely.

As for the OCH i do not think proton had changed the hose material. however change it at the required interval and you should be fine.

Sorry, no dealer to recommend. recently we bought an Iriz from Proton Platinum Center and it was a nightmare. Car sales man who knows jack about what he is selling and lots of other issues.

will it better to practice "manual launch control" to mitigate the take off delay feel? Means like your left leg step on brake pedal while right leg step on throttle pedal give some rev, says, 1500rpm then release the foot brake? biggrin.gif

prepare to change new set of gb. or prepare at least 10k.. then only you are ready to do so.

when you press on brake pedal.. the wet clutch inside cvt is disengaged.. n i dunno if the rpm will be cut off at 3K when you do so.

normally what i did:

on hill:
pull up handbrake n let the clutch engage for 1-2s then let go handbrake n the car will move upward on its own then only i press gas pedal.

on normal road:
i just lift up brake pedal n let the clutch engage 1s then only press on gas pedal once car is moving forward slightly.

oh? using handbrake the clutch will engage? the CVT detects foot brake engagement to decide clutching action is it?

well.. once you lift up foot from brake.. the clutch inside will be engaged. but it need times 1-2s.. otherwise the belt will slipped when you press the gas.. and during service you might see those fine metal particles when changing the cvt fluid filter

All CVT works like this? Used to sit friend's new Vios and City, amazed on their CVT acceleration pull, didn't notice the clutch engagement delay. Meanwhile, I'm fed up with my gen2 and polo sedan AT gearbox slowness, cannot compete with those CVT cars on acceleration...

Don't buy. Trust me. Stick with Toyota or even Honda if you don't want to deal with poor plastic quality and aftersales experience from Proton. The SAs are doing you a favour actually. biggrin.gif

What exactly are you looking for in a car anyway? If space and practicality is what you're after, buy a Jazz or a Toyota Yaris when it comes out next year. Proton's plus point is only the handling (which in stock form for the Suprima is really good), and the safety. Everything else is mostly a half past six job done by their engineering team.

I love my car .. dont want to sell it since no more loan and i have modded some thing to my car like ;
- high cam 262/266
- Adjustable Fuel Pressure Regulator
- Adjustable Zordaq Motorsport Cam Pulley
- Underweight Zordaq Motorsport Crank Pulley
- 4-2-1 Custom Made R3 Campro Stainless Steel Extractor
- Full Custom System Exhaust 2inch Stainless Steel Piping
- Fully Rebore 1.3 Throttle Body
- Custom Made Stainless Steel Intake
- Iridium Spark Plug
- Paddle Respond
- Adjustable HWL

But the car is very not comfortable. So my wife keep nagging ask me to sell it then now i beh tahan already, so i will sell my current car and buy a stock car that have safety and comfort than my current car for my family and i still can have abit fun. So after do some research , i found Suprima S. More i look into it , the more i fall in love with bangwall.gif
