Hi all...is that normal for suprima s when the engine is off, the engine fan is still working ? @@
*
Yup.. after a hard or long drive.. if the coolant temp is above 92°C, the fan and pump will operate to prevent the coolant from boiling.. but.. if its been running for more than 1 minute, u probably got a faulty fan relay..

Wanna ask whether Suprima intercooling system reliable for travel long distance. Assuming travel to Alor Setar then back to KL again, not racing speed... constant 110 km/hr
*
I frequently drive 7+hours..with 1 hour breaks.. and did 14 hours with 2 hours rest... No problems..

Covering 4++ and 8++ kms..

my mileage now is 9500km, and the periodic inspection sign has come up everytime the car is stopped. as my car is a second-hand(showroom car), so i would like to know if i don't bring my car to proton sc for service (service at my familiar workshop), then the periodic inspection message won't go away?
*
It will come up 500km before the mileage set for service in the MID and will begone 500km after it..

hi all suprima s owner here,

i have some issue with engine power band dropping once rpm climb around 3k and by 4k the engine struggling for power even throttle pedal 90% load.
there are turbo spooling & boosting sound, any idea what are the things i shall start to look into?
*
Try full throttle..
Its fly by wire and 90% is not always 90%..
Also.. programming try to keep the engine at 3k -4k.. for optimum power band..

Floor it and u will see 5k...

Hi guys,

I have been browsing thru this forum for a couple of months. I like to seek your opinion based on the pricing of the suprima full spec. Should I purchase a brand new suprima or go for a toyota or honda. Based on my driving style, I see that the suprima fits my boat.

I presume that the maintence aspect is lower compared to the mentioned brands above. The issues being discussed in this forum also indicates that the main components dont really have much an issue. Its more of the small parts that irrates.
*
what is your budget?
what do want in a car? Space? Speed? Handling? Comfort?

Minor service is around RM300+
and Major service is around RM1k+ every 60k km..

17" tyre will run u about RM300+ a piece..
4pcs absorber is aroundRM600+..
FC is around 10l/100km..

Thank you for the information.

Budget will be below 90K. However i do realize i wont be able to get full specs with other brands.
Can i check with you what is the max loan tenure?

I will prefer Comfort and Handling as my daily drive will increase to about 120 Km.
I believe speed can be achieved only on clear roads, other then that speeds are usually 100-110 km/h.

There servicing price seem affordable. Drawback is the FC, anyone achieve better or is it an average.
*
Comfort n handling rarely comes hand in hand..
But.. its quite comfy... Definitely not vios level comfort... The suspension is alot harder... Handling is typical proton.. haha..

Check out my siggy.. but... Saying that.. my route is different.. mostly quiet B roads.. so speeds between 80-90.. and not much traffic...

I do around 70-100kms per day... I usually fill up every week..

However the main question is, is it worth it to purchase it now, since it has been out for sometime. Im not so fussy about the comfort as I drive a Viva daily, so this will be an upgrade. However surprisingly a viva handles well for me. So I wonder how the suprima will fare. Heard from a colleague that the space in the car is not that big is this true?
*
believe me.. a viva is very comfortable on malaysian roads...

the suprima is less so...

if your colleague says the space is small.. then he must be very BIG...

i'm 179cm, 1XXkg.. and the car is spacious.. just that the seat is abit high...

as for is it worth it to buy now.. i cant really answer that.. there might be a facelift coming.. or there might not be one...
in terms of reliability, most problems probably has been rectified by now..

how is it comfortable for you? i find that i do not have enough legroom. shakehead.gif so im guessing its a stiff ride then?
*
very comfy.. i used to do very long drives in it..
how is it u dont have enough leg room? how tall are u?
if i push the seat all the way back.. its hard to reach the pedals..

yup.. stiff.. changing tyres help a bit la..
