Am being offered Barcelona Visa Signature by Maybank today. Only one card, not dual card. Any sifu can provide the pros and cons of this card?

Referring to the first post, that's the poster I see all the time. Always give me impression that it's dual card.

I have both of these cards

M2Card --- AMEX useful on Weekends
FCB - Everyday 2% cashback capped RM50 except May and Aug 10% capped RM100.

That's all. For me, only use AMEX on weekend. Otherwise, FCB.

Depends on where, when and how are you spending!
If you can use Amex to spend RM1000 on Sat/Sun every month, of course M2 Amex is better.

I have another option, Maybank MAE or QRPay from Savings account, you can get up to 10%, 2X RM10 CB for this month and next month. Not related to any Maybank CC.

Depends really. I bought my new specs rm1100. I told merchant to swipe 800 with Amex, then another separate 300 balance. 800 coz I already used 200 to buy something else.

I get RM40 + 6 = 46.

Seems like good deal to me . I will keep both of these cards . Thank you all reply

CIMB CASH REBATE PLATINUM - Until 31 May 2020 Capped at RM 30 , the card came with other rebate too but ... negligible for me at the moment
PB Quantum - Visa - 5% rebate for contactless - min RM 30 , capped at RM 30
PB Quantum - MC - 5% rebate for online - capped at RM 30

Not yet. Maybank very slow in their human handle promo/campaign.

Tried to tap with FCB at KFC terminal, their card machine hang.
So end up paying with cash.

3 days after, noticed the *wrong amount* charged to my card.
I bought RM9.20 but charged RM21.

Anyone face this before?
How to dispute the transaction?

Yeap, still keep the receipt because I feel strange when cashier tried to tap my card, but failed.
So feel better keep it for a few days.
Didn't expect really need it.

I think 3 times use, 3 times fail. Different days.

For dispute, unrelated to KFC, takes almost a month to settle. No calls no nothing from maybank2me other than an autoresponder. When the time comes, you'll see the transaction reversed.

Then the other card that tied with M2Card is consider useless? Can we collect TP with the other card?

you need to understand this..... M2Card was introduced wayyyyyy before any decent cb card from maybank (ikhwan, FCB, etc)

it was introduced as dual-combo card to faciliate Amex, but knowing Amex acceptance is low, they bundled it with Visa/Mastercard. They both complement each other, with Amex is the primary and fallback is Visa/Mastercard. selling point would be "get this dual card and you're set".

now with new decent cb cards from MBB, e.g. FCB VS, obviously M2Card Visa/Mastercard looks boring or useless. <-- this is where you are now.


as far as TP earning and redemption concerned, any of your mbb cards (except FCB VS) can earn TPs and redeem it cumulatively* across multiple MBB cards.

*there are cards which disallow this, e.g. MBB VS*

FCB VS does not have TP feature built-in (they should've just enabled it but set earning 0TP). hence, there is no way for TP redemption too.
