Hmm. I got mine that way. Quoted to them the online application reference no. and asked them why it's rejected because fulfilled income requirement. Then, politely asked what can I do to appeal. They replied and asked for my latest income document, which I submitted my payslip. After that I got approved.
I know mine will be like this too, so didn't waste my time and applied via card centre.

I rejected twice for MBB2 AMEX. One online; the 2nd one I called CS and they said they'll review. Then after a day, also got rejected.
I'm exhausted dealing with them.

Just to update, the colleague who got her M2Cards last month just got her FCB VS rejected. The other colleague got approval, luckily the staff in The Gardens is quite helpful, she also puzzled why hers got rejected, so she will appeal for her but my colleague needs to submit latest payslip again.

And the foreign colleague, hers still under processing and MBB wants her to open a FD account of RM 10k to secure her card applications. I went and argued with them and showed to them her 6 digits GIA-i account, after making call to the department, cannot accept because it's Islamic account.. She has to open one for conventional. Tomorrow will help her to open over the counter, she's OK with it since she earns interests. Even the staffs also wondering when her salary already qualified for at least M2Premier cards and already working more than two years here with work permit also recently got extended. Well, since she's OK with this arrangement, then OK lo.

the 2%/10% cb for everything everyday is the key. furthermore, it's a Visa card, basically everywhere can use!

m2c amex 5% cb for everything is however limited to weekend and limited merchant adoption (weakness for m2c)

both cards compliment each other well, oh how I wish they bundle it with m2c amex instead of the plain crippled visa.

I think M2U AI (Artificial Intelligence) will reject if
* you are already a card customer, or
* over qualify, eg income >RM100k or >RM120k.

It may be easier to get a VI than VS!

Applied at KLCC around 11.15am today, haven't received any SMS.

Thought of asking for advice (whether to call them or go to the centre again tomorrow), but I checked my m2u and I see it there, pending activation    hope that means it's been approved!
