Anyways, what does the testing involve? Do you guys go out to retails to try to pay or you guys test within your own premise/HQ/satelite only?

Around 7:40 PM you say Phase 1 testing for card users; what type of card credit, debit, prepaid or charge?
M'sian top bank, Harimau or some other bank?
More details would be nice

Around 9:10PM you say your part of the project is done and launch date is mid December or latest by 5th January 2022;
How long have the banks been testing Apple Pay; for you to confidently say it would launch in mid December or latest by 5th January 2022?
If they still need testing, is it possible I can be one of the testers?

So u are doing prod? Weirdly, I do not see “MY” in this prod config JSON file. Are you guys using another prod or staging JSON file? Afaik, iPhone checks this JSON file upon you tapping on the “+” sign in Wallet app.
Partnering with Shell makes a little sense. I’ve been seeing Shell quietly upgrading their pump terminals to accepting PayWave feature. But afaik, the ones around my area still not yet upgraded.

So u are saying you are a dev for this project right? May I know actually how long has you or your bank been working on this since day 1? Just wanna know how long did it take from the start till today.

Just went for a petrol pump (Shell) near my hse, after a month of not visiting it, the petrol terminals are now all (except for lorry one) paywave-able. Interesting development. The old machine still works flawlessly and there's no complaints about it and yet, they are required to change/upgrade the terminals. Sounds like it's imminent! Fingers crossed!

Anyone's Shell still have not changed their terminals yet?

AFAIK, BHP had upgraded to paywave terminal since a few years back, and Petronas also had upgraded to accept Paywave for the last 6 months or more

Here's a bit of side investigation on my own to find some hints. Last year Revenue Group was awarded a contract by PayNet to develop tokenization for MyDebit, under the subsidiary Revenue Secure Sdn Bhd. Found the co-founder on LinkedIn and this is on his profile. Doesn't seem like a general list of technologies more like what he's actively working on, since Google Pay isn't mentioned, and Samsung Pay is mentioned and is already in Malaysia. So it's true that it's coming soon? But if true, sad that Google Pay isn't coming as soon as Apple Pay.
