QUOTE(ahpek26 @ Dec 8 2016, 04:21 PM) I just called TM regarding and upgrade from Vip 20 to Advanced 50. Currently paying RM263.94 (+gst) and based on the offer you'd think I can get the new price RM242.74 (+gst) but surprise, NO. TM considers paying less is a downgrade even if I upgrade from 20Mbps to 50Mbps so If I want to upgrade I will still PAY THE SAME AMOUNT AS BEFORE. Since I still got 1 year contract left I guess I either suck it up and upgrade and get my lovely contract renewed and pay the same amount OR wait 1 year and cancel it. You know I really f*cking hate this sh*t company, even if its an upgrade, they will still screw your a*s. Honestly if Time was available I'd cancel it now and just pay for the penalty, what a f*cking joke of a company. what a joke I thought the usual case would be your price reduce to the current package, but your contract will be renew with 2 years again.

QUOTE(lyc1982 @ Dec 8 2016, 04:14 PM) noob question: if my area max capacity is 4Mbps but has unifi coverage...does that mean i can get free upgrade from 4Mbps to unifi 30Mbps ? streamyx n unifi is diff package. u wont get free upgrade from streamyx to unifi. unless u talking about paid upgrade, they need to go to ur house for new unifi installation, cant simple upgrade from the system.

QUOTE(lyrilmaki @ Dec 8 2016, 04:25 PM) what a joke I thought the usual case would be your price reduce to the current package, but your contract will be renew with 2 years again. But the person tells me I could go to TMpoint and ask for a better deal. I even asked them different place got different offer and the call center person just stays quiet, lol. Its like trying to negotiate with a company that genuinely doesn't care about their customer and know that their product or service is the best and that people WANT it rather than NEED it. I guess I will be canceling my Unifi next year and register a new one with lower price OR maybe just use Maxis. No wait just kidding Maxis is worse than TM and Time will never come to landed property anytime soon, so sad Now we know why TM is arrogant huh?

You only can upgrade once not twice. Please read again the conditions. QUOTE(sHawTY @ Dec 8 2016, 04:55 PM) Thinking of upgrading my 30Mb/s to 50Mb/s too so that I can get 100Mb/s free upgrade next year But not sure if I really need that kind of speed as I'm staying alone LOL

I pay for that.

Yes, in fact I upgraded from VIP 5 to VIP 10 and Advance 30 the same way too. Now butts itchy and wanna try out UniFi Pro 100. Anyway, finally got a confirmation that my free upgrade to Ruby package is done. Waiting for my free RM 30 AEON vouchers then. Earlier it seems didn't pass through and they sent me SMS again saying they did't receive my request. So, did it again.

Because now Adv 30mbps RM179 if want call need add on RM20. Mean RM199 for 50mbps next year. Why not I subscribe 50mbps now and get 100mbps + free call with extra RM30 per month. So I will get RM229 with 100mbps and free call next year.

Hey numbnuts, read my post again Or if you have some trouble understanding simple english, let me explain it in a way you could understand: I'm going to upgrade my UniFi account from Advance 30 to Advance 50, before the the end of this year, which is NOT A FREE UPGRADEThen later in 2017, I'll get the free upgrade from 50 to 100

Plus I'm not in the country like few days every month or every 2 months, also I will balik kampung sometimes. Not so worth for me.
