Now I understand why tm telemarketer keep calling me to upgrade to adv30 for past 2 months... luckily didn't accept the phone offer..

I am totally in same situation with u. I rejected the telemarketer too due to RM179 if 2 years only and after 2 years back to normal price RM199.
But for this latest promotion, i asked the tm fb cs and he told me will remain as RM179 after 2 years.
I am planing to join this campaign too.

Currently I using streamyx 2mbps and plan to upgrade to unifi rm179 30mbps package within this month and does this make me eligible enjoy new upgrade speed to 50mbps April next year?

confirm qualified if u sign up during this free upgrade campaign 1 to 31 dec 2016 period.

But viewqwest only available on 3 area : bangsar, triangle and cyberjaya

Though my Advance 30 package is nothing to shout about but I really miss it and my LTE speed too.

For those currently paying rm179 for 10mbps are we entitle to free upgrade to 30mbps or 50mbps? If 30mbps do we need to upgrade it to 30mbps now since we already paying rm179 in order to get free 50mbps next year?

I think, "Free Speed Upgrade bla bla bla ... with TnC & FaQ" in TM website is the monthly campaign for new customer/installation for this month (Dec). Thats why in TnC & FaQ mention registration & installation between 1st Dec to 31st Dec and will get upgrade starting April 2017.

For current Unifi customer, still no official statement released yet regarding free upgrade. But maybe TM got small mistake regarding TnC & FaQ they published before this bcoz it seem like for all current user. But now, TnC & FaQ related to new subscription.


RM60 (for 1st 10m) is for cable over ceiling only. Not count from wall to ceiling & from ceiling come down to wall. Cable on wall can count as from 50m free standard installation. If still keep the receipt, try to report it to TM & claim back the balance. Whether you get cheated by installer (yang buat buat tak tahu...) or installer did not get latest information from TM related to new installation charges.

No worry bro. Afterall, the upgrade will only start in April next year. There's plenty of time for us to wait.

The reason I shared that article is because many people in here are still confused and kept asking similar questions (whether they are eligibled, whether they should cancel and reapply, what about streamyx user, etc.) No harm to read more about it so that they will know what to expect in 2017.

The fact, for those who subscribe unifi this month campaign, will get speed upgrade starting April 2017 as u can see in TM portal detail in Tnc & FaQ. For current customer/user will get free upgrade starting 1st Jan 2017 phase by phase but official statement from TM still not released yet. Many things not clear. Like rojak u know, all story, rumors, assumptions mix together then make a news/conclusion + TM side also sometimes make mistake in their statement, published then retract back.

Even call 100, go to TMpoint, even different person different answer, they also cannot give proper answer, they also will say no latest info yet. They also donno how to explain & no confident to explain.
