Actually before recall, all Samsung show rooms and dealers are show case Note 7. Those display & demo units are keep on charging all the times ...but never heard any problem or explosion.

So may be we need to think about it: Is it because of user's individual habits or other factors caused those explosion?

demo unit not really full of apps like real user unit

so not much background activity to caused overheat maybe

Instruction given by DIGI to me was different. I was requested to bring the phone, wireless charger, and the stock earphone, they will give me back a new box set and the wireless charger

Yes same for me too. I didnt understand why wireless charger but thats what digi told me.
*
iinm, mis-communication within the Digi team.

i was told they have sorted it out and no need for the wireless charger.

still, i would say better just be prepared and have the wireless charger. but i did mention to Digi that if I don't see a new wireless charger together with the new note7, i am not returning my wireless charger... smile.gif

bloomberg already mentioned about "design flaw" 2 weeks back

but at that times more on the battery not the the phone itself
*
and... and if you read and understand what i was talking abt, i'm referring to new cases AFTER the replacement...

if there are more cases reported on the new phones (over heated, etc), then there's a possibility that there's a serious design flaw... else, i guess, all good.

it's all about probability.

just like chances of lightning striking you in USA is 1 in 960,000. don't mean that you need to be out in the rain 960,000 times to get hit.

you just need to be lucky...

but if you do go out 960,000 times under the rain... ya, good chance you'll get hit.

so, before recall... ppl dunno, everyone just go put the phones on demo. but when they realise the risk is there, they've probably been asked not to display them anymore... coz the risk could be higher and one might just burn down the store.

the risk is still relatively low... but, the idea is not avoid the risk altogether by not using them or putting them on demo.

me not contradicted what you said

just mentioned what bloomberg said earlier

maybe investigation at that time focus more on battery than the phone itself

i opted for courier coz i just dun want the hassle of going to the nearest digi store.

i did speak to one of them regarding the wireless charger... so, that time, they said they would look into it and update their team accordingly.

i just hope they have received memo from samsung and also updated their team and tell them: phone + box is good enough. smile.gif

Nope. You will still receive full and completely new set. This has been clarified few times.

There is high possibilities for Samsung to drop price or give higher discount in future for Note 7 to capture sales, so it will be wise for us to hold on to those extra accessories as additional freebies. At least we wont feel too bad later.

Anyone can share their email chat with Samsung that only need to bring box and phone? Can show to dealers in case they refuse to accept.
