Not yet la....getting anxious. Courts should contact all customers by now as we need to plan time for the exchange, plus we need to fix the venue as well.

Courts customers, rather than wait for the call, its better that you call their hotline and register your exchange location with them. Did that just now and just waiting for their confirmation by email.

It is obvious when someone does not want to return the phone for investigation. You can guess what her intentions are. If she is sure that the incident is genuine and not planned, she can either sue Samsung in court or conduct her own investigations, if she does not trust Samsung to do so. Quite obvious that she is now holding Samsung to ransom. For Samsung to indicate blackmail, there must have been some demands coming from her.

I agree that if Samsung does not make it a standard practice everywhere to let customers keep the accessories, the shops and dealers will sure exploit this loophole and keep the accessories to themselves for resale. Is this what Samsung want?

No exactly as come apps need to be reactivated. Unauthorised apps will not be restored.

To be safe, you should do the followings besides using smart switch:
1. copy out the important folders/files separately (eg pics. books, music, apk, etc)
2. use sms backupp and restore and copy out the backup folder
3. copy out the whatsapp folder

after restoring from smart switch, you will still have files to fall back on in case some were not restored properly.

Best thing is keep all accessories including spen in a separate bag and surrender only phone and box.

the tempered glass real cheapskate. maybe retail at max rm30 only. SME should not have 'cheapened' Samsung's image like this. Since when Samsung gave away backyard quality stuff?

Sme jatuh standard by giving crap tempered glass. Crack warranty worth nothing unless there is a claim. Maybe 4 claims out of 4000 units sold. So all these freebies for inconvenience is really a sham.
