Either I do that or I go with my spouse to the shop this weekend and inform them about the collection arrangement, guess that should work.

Sorry for being a bit lost on the screen crack protection. How does the cover work because I'm just assuming the screen crack should already be covered under 1 year warranty.

Does it cover sudden cracking or even user mishandling?

Thanks in advance for the clarifications.

IIRC screen crack is not covered under the standard warranty, perhaps pohsze care to explain abit since she had experience on this matter.

I cant comment much because I didnt buy the warranty in the first place, hence forking out 1k for screen replacement. How does a screen suddenly crack by itself? I think it should cover user mishandling (etc dropping on floor resulting in screen crack). otherwise why would we buy the warranty?

the standard 1 yr warranty does NOT cover screen crack. there are also various T&C in regards to this standard 1 year warranty.

for the compensation, we're supposedly getting the 1 year screen crack warranty (it's a extra protection that Samsung phone owners can purchase) and it's supposed to cover any type of screen cracks -- like you dropping the phone, etc.

but just to be on safe side, no harm asking the sales ppl when you collect your new phone.

Screen crack due to drop is covered under screen crack warranty. That is the whole point of the extra money paid for the warranty.

Hey, I just realized that we are somehow got the best deal in terms of "token of appreciation" among the region.

MY - Tempered Glass & 1yr screen crack protection (since everyone would surrender the old phone, that means new phone will sure comes nekkid, a TG is welcome here, except a small percentage of ppl who already invested multiple solution to it before, like extra SP, coating, etc.)
SG - A SP & $30 (which you need to spent more than that to use it, smart Samsung SG)
India - Gear VR (Seriously, how many of them will appreciate this, for me I don't give a damn because probably I would not be using it)
Taiwan - 32GB OTG drive
USA - $25 credit

To me Gear VR is the best value out of all the compensation gifts.
I dont need the screen protection coz i take good care of my phones. Never had screen crack before. So for me this is a waste.
