So now we not sure how long is the screen crack warranty?

I remember Courts says its 1 year. But Sen Heng is 4 months?
*
Numerous posts saying SME said the screen crack warranty is started on the day you collect the new device.

Just went to samsung sc to purchase additional warranty RM99, after checking all things, they told me management ask to hold all warranty purchase for note 7. After exchange on 29th sep only can purchase. Due to samsung give screen warranty etc blablabla....
*
Of course they want to hold on first. Eventhough if they already promised they will give you a replacement unit soon, no one know what will happen after this. Launching in Malaysia asap? Rebranding the name and re-launch the product? Pull off the sales completely from the market? Anything can happen.

So far, Samsung Malaysia only promised that you will get a new phone on 29 Sept. But they didn't say when the product will be launching in here. They will have to stop everything first until they get the notice from the HQ, regarding what they plan to do with Note 7 in Malaysia market.

Just received call from Samsung, remind me to go do replacement at the place where I collected it at 29 Sept.
I asked is there due date for this replacement and he said for time being no.
My unit is fine. The only trouble is I need to find a spare phone to transfer data and use while I doing replacement. And transfer back after replacement. Time consuming.....

just got an email from senheng, same as the others,
1. limited collection center to choose from for the exchange
2. need to bring full box + accessories
3. warranty for screen protection only until 31/12/2016

any other supplier mentioned about the screen protection warranty duration?

Just received the called from maxis too. The cs told me if i return earlier the faster ill get the replacement.  If i do it laat day like 23th might get the replacement slower. Not sure whether true or not hmmmm
*
how faster can u get.. still 29th imo..
maybe a lot of customer dont want to return earlier and want to return on the day itself.. so they use scare tactics..

QUOTE(-kytz- @ Sep 8 2016, 04:27 PM)
Loan us a J7? Sos? Does it apply for all Samsung units as I got mine from YES.
*
sos is from maxis call centre team. only for maxis customers.

QUOTE(eternity4av @ Sep 8 2016, 04:38 PM)
mine is from samsung, but i never get a call from them to surrender the phone soonest.  is anyone same as me?
*
QUOTE(DroppedJaw @ Sep 8 2016, 04:42 PM)
Same here no call from Samsung.
*
if bought from SME directly i presume got ready stocks for replacement.. as for other operators/partners they need to secure stocks by confirming how many units are returned in advance to allocate stock.. maybe laaaa..

If I'm not wrong you can use smart switch to transfer to PC?

Then use PC to transfer back to your N7. Eliminates the need of a spare phone

The replacement would also require you to return the full box set which includes the provided fast charger, USB Type-C cable, headset and USB connectors. Samsung Malaysia also has mentioned on Facebook that they are offering 1-year screen crack protection (worth RM149) plus a free tempered glass with the new replacement unit. Before handing over your unit, you’re advised to perform a full backup to the cloud or through Samsung’s Smart Switch PC application.

some stuff... just check into microSD.

that's what i am doing.

others like apps, i just install essential one on my temp phone.

but i did a backup using the Smart Switch apps for PC. supposedly can back up apps and also homescreen settings, etc... i guess i will know at month end when i restore... and see how useful is this Smart Switch for PC.

but ya, not all apps can probably get restored properly.

So far when I used it to switch over to N7 with the smart switch, it's pretty fast and simple. I guess getting it back into N7 from PC should be that quick and simple too.

So how to expect me to ditch my Note7 and buy an iPhone? Wanna update software oso need to wait so bloody long??

It will be credited to ur bill and will use to deduct any extra amount that is not included under ur call plan (till the amount is fully used)

Here's today news regarding the " should you bring Note 7 on flight?" issue. tongue.gif

Qantas grounds Samsung Note 7 after explosions recall

So whoever want to take flight in Australia, please take note.

Please don't be misleading.

They are only requesting people to switch off and do not charge it during on board.

I noticed your posts were all about losing faith to Samsung since the battery issue.

One do not need to repeat itself so many times unless you're a recorder.

Chill bro.
