My unit still at sc. Sent in last two week due to random freeze and restart problem.
Hmm... guess need to give them a call to clarify how I gonna get the replacement from SES...

Just talked to Samsung Careline.
For those who already sent in their phone with box to sc and have yet to get an new replacement unit before the recall announcement, we are require to go to sc and collect the new replacement unit from 29th Sept onwards.

I sent in mine on 25th August. that's mean I'm gonna be note7-less for a whole month... haha

I am from Note 3,4, and will definitely continue using N7. Totally it is different feel and quality.
I skipped Note 5 because of missing MicroSD slot.

N7 especially, the size is just nice onto my hand. Honestly, this is best Samsung I ever used.
No plan to jump to other phones although it has some bug here and there. Satisfy with the recall + compensation, plus the freebies was worth for money. This is just my personal opinion and feel.

Yup. totally agree with you.

Just received a call from Samsung Malaysia. He informed me that the replacement will begin from 29th Sept onward at the place I purchased it from.

I then inform them my note 7 is still at sc since 25th August. He told to go collect from the sc then only to exchange at 29th.

It's different from what the Careline told me this morning that my exchange will happen at service centre itself.

Now have wait them to sort it out and give me another call later.

I must say I'm quite satisfy with the recall and replacement arrangement although there are some messes during the announcement.

Latest update for those who sent their unit to SC before the recall.

SC guy just informed me the current decision from Samsung is to get back your faulty unit and do the exchange with your respective seller, which he himself don't support the idea. He told me to hold on and not collect first cos he will ask Samsung again if it's possible to do the exchange in the service center itself. Can't believe the team who handle the note7 case can come out with such ridiculous decision.

Yea same here...

Waiting for their second call to confirm the proper procedure for us.

that's why we want fast and proper action from samsung and its pre-order to lay out the exchange mechanism... all parties also not properly communicated... somemore exploding is a serious issue, all parties like berlengah lengah take their own sweet time, treating customer like idiot.....

i also want to keep it aside, but what u want me to do? i dont have spare phone anymore... are u telling me to spend another hundreds to buy a spare phone use for one month while putting note7 in drawer? come on, not all ppl rich like someone having multiple phones.

Just give them some time. It's probably one of the biggest issue Samsung faced in the past decades.

Just continue to use your phone. Stop immediately when there is any abnormalities.

Scold and complain blindly won't help you to get your replacement quicker.

Take a chill pill and be glad that we are getting a new phone soon. It is definitely great that Samsung announced recall so soon. I couldn't be more satisfy with their decision.

Here's today news regarding the " should you bring Note 7 on flight?" issue. tongue.gif

Qantas grounds Samsung Note 7 after explosions recall

So whoever want to take flight in Australia, please take note.

Please don't be misleading.

They are only requesting people to switch off and do not charge it during on board.

I noticed your posts were all about losing faith to Samsung since the battery issue.

One do not need to repeat itself so many times unless you're a recorder.

Chill bro.

but i been confirm with their marketing & careline few times...
they final confirm answer is we can straight collect at the Sc ....

hmmm...
why many different answer ...i worry later i go to SC they say dun hv.. then i go to the outlet they also say dun have...thats mean 2 side also pushing to each other then i really will pissed off ..!
*
I also been told that I can directly exchange at the SC.

but this i tried to talk to them again, they gave that answer.

I'll tried to call SC tmr.
In my opinion, I think collect from sc and exchange from dealer store would be a more proper way although it is not as convenience.

Well anyway, I will update again after I called the SC tmr.
